  1. I have used 99% and 91% on tamiya with great results. I find that you have to scuff the surface to get it "into" the paint:
  2. Darnit, this is going to look like a double post,.....but it isn't, lol. Here is my pride and joy aside from the Wifey and other things. She's a 2000 with a 3" lift, new wheels and tires, a body lift and motor lift with a ton of personal things. This summer she gets her new 5" w/35" muds, some fenders, a winch, some bumpers, and everything else I can't afford. I love living in Colorado!!!
  3. That is a ###### fine looking automobile!!!!!!
  4. Thanks for the kind welcomes! I did indeed try and change my sig but it is not showing - unless old post will not show it which shouldn't make sense? I will try again!
  5. Hey Mr. Obsessive, As a newer person to this forum, I have to say that this build is phenomenal!!! I am not a classic guy (only 28), but this is awesome talent. Hope to see an update soon!!!
  6. There are more, and anyone from another forum will know about the struggles I have had with this model, lol. But, i keep truckin!!
  7. Hello all. I feel like introductions to forums are like therapy meetings. I say, "I am new and I love_______, or I do_______. LOL I won't do that, wait I am about to, darn. Anyway, I have been lurking on this forum for a while and have not posted because of a few reasons. Mainly because the majority of the people here seem to be classic/custom car builders. That is great, and I love reading about them all. I am more of modern kind of builder. I don't see too many here. But the scratch techniques are so intriguing to me. That inspires me to learn more about the classics. I have about 23 Tamiya Ferraris and some Fujimi that my never get my attention. There is a Jeep CJ to TJ conversion slowly being built, and a few modern bikes on the waiting list. A few Mercedes and Scoobs. Most of my money goes to aftermarket junk. But I am busy with school and work. I find that surfing takes up more of my time as opposed to true building. This site has extremely talented builders and does not flame others. To me, that is the best aspect of the forum. I really have become leary of other sites because of this. It brings you down when you have no responses to something that you have spent so much time on. I am not a master in anyway, but I truly enjoy the hobby and the countless hours it takes to CF an engine bay. I also love the magazine and read it whenever I can. I still never got a call back on the back issue I wanted for the Enzo a few years back, lol. I even live in Colorado Springs!!!! Oh well, maybe I will acquire a connection. Hope to get to know you all better!!!!! Jon Here is my current build:
