Ok, I've cleaned three or four bodies in the purple pond (and it's not purple any more!) and there is a layer of paint gunk on the bottom. I think it's time to clean/re-cycle, or , dump. Which is the best option and how do I go about doing it?
Anthony, nice build. With the tips you've been given here and the quality of your work as it exists, you are well on your way to doing some great work, so get busy!
Nice job Duane. Colors and paint job are superb! I love '57 Fords, so did America in 1957, actually out sold the Chevy's that year believe it ,or, not.
Nice build James. Your choices of colors work really well. I've been trying to complete a 'quick' build for about six weeks now, lol. I've actually got 'two' cars I'm half way done with. My next build is going to be a Lamborghini Diablo VT, hopefully it looks as good as your Ferrari!
I have lung problems anyway so coating my lungs with fine styrene particles is probably not a good idea, I got a mask today! I know it's probably not alot but even a little for me is not good. Thanks for all the posts! Keep building!
As I've been prepping parts for a build the last few weeks, while sanding/filing I've been thinking that I've got to be breathing in some styrene and this can't be good. So I've been thinking of wearing a mask. Am I over-reacting? Or is my concern valid?
There was a funny car of a Mercury Cyclone ('Don Nichols?) when I was like 12 or so that will be in my head forever.
I found a kit on ebay for $140.00! It's listed under 'AMT Mercury Cyclone funny car' not sure how to post the pic here, way cool though.
Warm water from the tap here, never had a problem. When I was a kid I thought it was exciting to put spray cans in the barrel when we burned our trash.
I've been thinking about getting one of these kits, so I'll be watching closely. I rode in a built up 1:1 Falcon Futura like this once (worked up Hi-po 289) , wicked ride.
