  1. This is the 1994 issue of the Ed Roth "Beatnik Bandit" Custom Show Rod. I like all different kinds of cars but am usually not too fond of over the top custom cars but I had this kit and got to looking at the contents and it seemed like a nicely detailed car and I decided to try and build it. I didn't do extensive detailing on the car, pretty much an OOB build. The kit came with some larger rear wheels and M&H slicks so I decided to use those instead of the pizza cutters on all four corners with the hub cabs. I prefer the old school drag look. I knew the decals were going to be a nightmare given the age of the kit and I was right but amazingly I was able to use them without too many issues. My clear coat seemed to do a little wrinkling of the decals on the sides but I can live with it. I used Testors white lightning on the body for that pearl look. All in all I'm happy with the car and will look good next to my other finished cars. Thanks for looking
  2. Very cool. I like the wheels a lot on that Nova.
  3. Now that's a Nova I'd like in real life as well. Killer!
  4. Great work
  5. I like that a lot. Nicely done!
  6. Killer as always Tyrone
  7. That seems to be the case with any latemodel Mustang kit that's ever been made. They all need extensive mods to lower the cars. Just like the real cars lol. The car that's pictured on the box has the premium 17" wheels like my car had. In the kit are they scaled too small and look like 15" wheels? That would be a no buy for me if that's the case. Anyone have pics from the MCM mag that reviewed this kit? I remember seeing this kit but on the box the car has the 16" standard "waffle pony" wheels which I why I never got the kit.
  8. I love the look of that Nova. Nicely done!
  9. You've done a beautiful job!
  10. I took a break from model cars for a bit and was browsing around and saw this kit was released. I haven't seen it in a store by me and was wondering if anyone has gotten one or built it yet? I owned a black/black 98 Mustang GT and would like to build a replica of that car. Just wondering what the quality is like on this kit. http://www.round2models.com/models/amt/ford-mustang-gt
  11. Awesome
  12. That's my build. Kind of a challenge to build but makes a killer looking model when it's all done. I have the Challenger kit too but haven't gotten to it.
  13. Currently building this kit as well. I like the mag look you put on the wheels. I hope mine turns out as nice!
  14. That's gorgeous Frank!
  15. That's killer man
  16. Wow! Absolutely stunning, wish I could do that well
  17. Likewise I tried painting my stripes and masked it off really well with Tamiya masking tape and it still came out bad. Hmmm
  18. Best looking Accord I've seen!
  19. Looks good! Did you have to do anything special to the decals to use them? I have the same kit to build and it's about 30 years old now.
  20. I do have a Revell 66 GTO kit. Some day I may kit bash and build my dads car.
