  1. Here's my Renault 8 Gordini MiniZ version Since the Renault 8 body is very small, the rims had to be narrowed. As chassis i used a Kyosho MR015 with 2.4 GHZ transmitter. The body is taken from the WAVE CR-08 kit.
  2. Yes, i only run them on the Kyosho MiniZ track, which has soft borders. Mostly the bodies are reinforced with glas fibre pads, so they can resist some crashes, but the parts like mirrors are very threatened.
  3. Very great builds i really love the Alfa Romeo
  4. Here are some of my 1/24 custom built RC-Cars. Normally i use a 1/24 static kit body from Tamiya or any other kits and build them on MiniZ Chassis: Alfa Romeo GTA Junior '72 Rainer Matschke BMW 2002 '70 Niki Lauda Ford Escort Mk1 24h D.Glemser/Gardner View other pics of them The Alfa got homemade widened fenders to make the GTA Junior look. There are a few more Alfa GTA's: A 'Jägermeister' version, a 'GULF' version and the 'Auto Delta' Factory Team version Hope you like them
  5. i really like TAMIYA - very good research and docu in the manual. great quality parts and fittings and great models My favourite Tamiyas: + Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA + VW Karmann Ghia + Jaguar MK2 racing and i really love car's from the late 60thies up to the late 70thies, such as Ford Escort's, BMW 2002, Lancia Fulvia, Opel Manta, Alfa Romeo's
  6. thanks...
  7. My Name is Michael and i'm from Austria. I've been in modelling since i was a boy back in the late 70ties. First i started plastik modelling and then followed by RC-Cars. As Tamiya-Freak i got about 70 RC-Cars and many NIB RC-kits. I used to race the Tamiya cars in the Tamiya-Cup series a few year ago, but since work and family took more time, there was no time left for serious RC-Car racing. So i started 1/18 and 1/24 car modelling and driving and racing Kyosho MiniZ. But Kyosho MiniZ always are RTR (ready to run) there was nothing left for modelling, so i started to combine them and make my own Kyosho MiniZ bodies. Mostly i took 1/24 kits, such as Tamiya Alfa Romeo Sprint GTA and rebuilt them as MiniZ Today i got 3 Alfa Romeo GTA Junior with homemade widened fenders, 1 Ford Escort MK1, 2 VW Karmann Ghia's racing, 1 Opel Commodore GS/E, 1 Renault 8 Gordini and 1 BMW 2002. Adapting the Kyosho MiniZ's wheelbase is sometimes a little difficult to fit the chassis to the body. The MiniZ's wheelbase can be modified from 86mm to 102mm within 4mm steps, so sometimes a little crafting is necessary. So that's engough for this time - please appologize for my English, but i'm native German speaker. All the best Michael
  8. Here'S a little vid linked, my little daugther on the steering.... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp?id=4895&uid=2958
  9. The speed depends on the Motor and gearing, but MiniZ'S are really fast. With standardmotor the MR03 MiniZ reaches about 25km/h. Using tuning motors will make them much faster, but the Alfa GTA is using a standard motor, because it's used only for 'friendly' racing with some mates. I will post some more pics of my other MiniZ cars - eg. Ford Escort Mk1 , BMW2002, VW Karmann Ghia, Opel Commodore, Renault 8 Gordini all modified to use them on MiniZ-chassis
  10. thanks, mates Does Alfa Romeo sell cars in the US?
  11. I always liked the Alfa Romeo GTA Junior, but there is no RC-Car version of it, so i decided to build my own. As RC-car chassis i've choosed the Kyosho MiniZ MR03MM chassis using the modern 2.4GHz transmission. The body is taken from the Tamiya 1/24 Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA kit. The GTA Junior version has enlarged fenders, which were build out of Resine and putty. The chassis wheelbase was modified to fit the body. The body is mounted on the chassis with orginal Kyosho body mounts. Since the car is very fast the body is reinforced with pads of glass fibre. Here are some pics:
  12. Hi, my Name is Michael and i'm a great Alfa Romeo Fan. I always dreamt of a model of the Alfa Romeo 159 SW ti, which is the most sportive looking Alfa Romeo 159. The car got a sport suspension, side panels, 19" rims, Brembo braking system and many other parts the standard Alfa doesn't have. I was looking for the model a long time, but the only model released was the 1/18 version from Mondo Motors, which does not look very sportive. original Alfa Romeo 159 SW and thats the result: I disassemled the model, removed the laquer, cleaned the holes, crafted the side panels, fitted it for the sport suspension, tooks scale looking ti-rims and Fitted a Brembo braking system Hope you like it
