Hi..Dave Van........!WOW!......Great Diorama and photo...........Barbo

Hi.........What movie or TV series has a great Diorama scene . I mostly like disaster movies for there special effects with dioramas, like earthquakes and storms . Now special effects and dioramas are worked together with computers. But how about movies and TV series 10 or 20 years ago, they were masters of diorama special effects. Maybe unreal to believe because of there not too modern cameras , but they left the good ideas for us..........Have fun ..Barbo.

Hi...My dioramas bases are all made of FOAMBOARD , I used plywood before but it was too heavy to handle , also suspended ceiling tiles but it is also heavy to carry . Foamboard is not the best , but for me it is .I will post some photos of step by step method for the foamboard base construction that I do , so I hope it will be this weekend......Have fun.............Barbo.

Hi..Larryagree...The emblems are from McDonald's toys , the arches are from a McDonald's Matchbox , the symbol on the wall is a Christmas tree ornament and the white letters on the roof are from Office Max....glad you like the diorama.

Hi..dptydawg..........Yes , the diorama is scratch build . As always , foam board and matboard . The menue are photos taken from a real Mc Donald's here in Puerto Rico , the figures inside and the one in the car are 1/24 scale from Preiser , the employer is from Tamiya , the Mcdonald's sign on the wall is a christmas tree light-up ornament, the McDonald's symbol on the roof is from a Matchbox toy , the letters on the roof are from Office Max 1'' and the shingles are plastic from Plastruct , all the rest is balsa. Glad you like it ..............Barbo.

Hi......This is one of my new projects , The Simpsons House diorama. I downloaded the original construction drawings of the house made as mock-up for the cartoon series . I also have the Polar Lights model car and family figures . The diorama will be 1:24 scale and made of matboard , foamboard , balsa and plastic (plastruct) . The overall size of the diorama will be difficult to carry , so I will do the house structure in section panels and assemble anywhere with velcro tape . Hi.....after I saw the movie TRANSFORMERS I was shocked of all the great special efects , of course it had to be GEORGE LUCAS my master.
