Hi...Jaurus...thats a great way of doing a diorama..specialy if it has to do with something to remember, or just for the fun . Onc its finished , its very valuable to the modeler, it will be one of a kind. I made a Diorama with a photo of the Worlds Trade Center as a backdrop , my last visit, ......... there is no price for it...............Barbo.

Hi......Perhaps , the magazines I use for reference to learn more about dioramas are not the same magazines you use. So, the reason of this question is to share information ,,,,What magazines do you use for reference? I use ...Garden Railways , 'O' Gauge Model Rail-Roading , Miniature Collector , Fine Scale , Scale Aviation , Sci-Fi & Fantasy Models International , Scale Auto , Model Cars , Military Miniatures , Scale Models International and Historical Miniatures. I do not subsribe to all . I buy some from the magazine stand , if the issue is interesting at the moment..........Barbo.

Hi...jbwelda........the cars are not slot , they are scale plasitc model kits by ''Scalex'' the stage is also a model kit .They are mostly used for static track layouts, you can check these and other models kits at www.fantasyworldhobbies.com ...........Barbo.

Hi...Manfred ... perhaps you are not the only one that in any moment felt the same way. I had to make changes and adjustments in my life also just for the fun of the hobby. What made the diference was that I had programed a specific day and time for my hobby during the week , this made me be in stress , but now I do my hobby every day, any moment possible less time daily perhaps, but no stress. and at the end of the week, the total time is the same... We have to be careful with our hobby time. After all, its the only moment we prize our life, we deserve it. For me, first is my family , work , friends and ''HOBBY TIME'' I think your sincerity comment is great............Barbo

Hi....Napoleon and Manfred...I also use dried flower tems, they are great and you can paint it for more realism. Also , you can check www.scenicexpress.com they have 'Cow Pastures' , 'Pastures with Mole Hills' , 'Prairie Tufts' , 'Grass Pathways' , Reeds and Cattail for swampy marshland or any landfield . The scale of these materials are for 1:43 dioramas but I have used them for 1/24 and looks great..........Barbo.
