  1. Some more WIP. Kit comes with some nice masks. I used a sharpie and it worked out pretty well so far
  2. WIP. The the interior from the kit has a lot of detail, I added some pieces from the Hobby Design kit. Couldn't find an aftermarket engine which would have been nice. One thing I did learn that really helped was to use double stick tape for the seatbelts and wheel tie-downs. Much cleaner than using glue. More later as I start on the body.
  3. Thanks for all the comments, guys. Appreciate it.
  4. Hey Roger. It is a photo etch template form the ScaleLabs kit for the Audi. I just lightly sprayed some white primer.
  5. Thanks. What clear do you use? I've used Mr. Hobby a couple of times.
  6. This is the second RS8 kit I built. Love the decals on these, but but they are a challenge. A lot of detail in the interior which is hidden. I managed to squeeze a shot in through the vent opening of the window. Also still torn over whether to clear these kits. The KFC version I did, the Scherer version I did not. Next up is a Meng version of the RS8. Stay tuned!
  7. Italeri makes a 1/12 scale Lancia Delta Integrale San Remo kit. AND they make a 1/12 kit with the 16V engine. I notice that the San Remo kit is $60 or so less than the kit with the 16v engine Besides the engine type, what's the difference between the 2 kits? Why is one so much more expensive than the other? Anybody know? Thanks!!
  8. Hi Zack. I would say the salvino kits are a mixed bag in terms of difficulty. The body and decals are relatively easy to manage. The frame and suspension are difficult. I found that purchasing a jig helped set the ride height and the position of the frame. There's some trimming of the frame parts that needs to be done. Both are described in the video below. I like the fact that there are so many kits available from Salvinojr. Great to see a model company that has been growing instead of shrinking.
  9. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone.
  10. Hey Bruce. Thanks. I used Tamiya Pure Orange TS98. It came out a little dark (which I liked) so maybe I used gray primer to start. It is a McClaren. Biggest challenge was keep glue off of the clear parts.
  11. Happy holidays and a great 2025 everybody. I managed to complete 12 builds this year between family, work and whatever. Still having fun with it.
  12. This is my second SalvinoJR car. I added seatbelts, a 3d printed dash, ignition wiring, hood pins. I wanted to find a paint color that was closer to what the 1:1 car has, so I tried RustOleum "Peaceful Blue" I would like to know more about how the plumbing all connects for my next NASCAR build. Any suggestions are welcomed.
  13. How many display cases do you have? I'm just trying to estimate the amount of time and work I will have to put in There may not be enough years left!
