  1. Beautiful William!! I love it ,wish I had one for real!!
  2. Last thing to do is to add the glass. I just dipped all the glass in future and waiting for it to dry. Here are a few more pics before its finished.
  3. Thank you Bradley, Ive been waiting for this finish for almost 8 years!! Praise God!! Hi William, I used the Badger 200 with the medium nozzle head and needle marked IL. I was using the Iwata SBS side feed with a 0.35 head and it just didnt atomize correctly for the spray I wanted produce, Im sure any medium head and needle combo will work. The secret is to spray a few light mist coats first then follow up with heavier coats, when your finished load up the airbrush with windex and spray as you did at first with a few light mists to really gloss it out, only a few though, too much will ruin it.
  4. A little more progress today.
  5. Another master modeler in the works!! Awesome!!
  6. Hi J.B., I just mist coated the windex over the future in a few light passes, just to get a wet look. I did not add any windex to the future. I just added the future to my color cup then sprayed a few light mist coats so the intial applications would have something to bite to, then sprayed heavier coats, then finished up with a few light passes of windex. The real secret to getting a nice gloss finish is to use a larger nozzle when spraying the future. A smaller nozzle will only produce a pebble like finish.
  7. Excellent super re-do. She is beautiful!!
  8. Restored to a very nice high gloss finish. Thanks to SCOTT'S MODEL WORKSHOP saved the day for providing excellent decals for this car. I also found out that by using a larger nozzle when airbrushing future you get more of a consistant spray and avoid the orange peel effect altogether. I used a badger 200 airbrush set up with a medium nozzel and adjusted the needle to a fine mist using future floor shine straight out of the bottle, nothing added. With my copressor set at 15-20 lbs psi. After I got the car covered I then sprayed heavier coats on top to really gloss it out. I then added windex and went back to the fine mist setting and made the future wet only a few light mist coats was all it took.
  9. Hi Mike, thank you for the help. I used Testors Model Master enamel cobalt blue, it does dry flat.
  10. I did not know you could spray lacquer over future. That is great news. Is there a process to it? or just wait till the future dries and apply lacquer over it?
  11. Thank you Bradley. Hopefully these new decals will work better. Steve
  12. Thank you Jeremy. Just waiting for the decals to come in the mail.
  13. Tamiya TS 13 applied, will gloss over the decals with Testors enamel high gloss spray can.
  14. Thank you Bradley, now its just a wait for the decals to arrive from ebay. Steve
  15. This is where I started She is ready for paint. Here are a few pics of how it looks after stripping off the paint and decals.
  16. That is a very nice build and paint job Bradley, you did an excellent job on her. I only asked if he had replacement decals. I just purchased a set off ebay. This time I will do everything the same but will use Testors spray can enamel insted.
  17. Hi Bradly, Yes but here is the bad news the TS 13 totally distroyed the decals, I had to completely strip the kit down to bare resin this morning. It is now ready for paint and a new set of decals. The TS 13 works great, but do not shoot it over decals!!!!!!! Now I have to find a clear coat that will lay smooth over decals with out ruining them, and I dont want to use future floor shine. Im sure there is something out there. Steve
  18. Thank you Bruce, Optivisor #7 power. Steve
  19. Thank you Carl, God bless brother Steve
  20. Thank you Paul, I prewashed all the parts and body in a mild bleach and water mix with a small amount of dawn dish detergent. I used Floquil for primer and used Testors Cobalt blue followed by Tamiya TS13 gloss. Steve
  21. Thank you JC. The decals were a bit fun, the next one I do I will paint them on. Im going to apply a few more coats of Tamiya TS 13,wet sand a bit between coats and finish up with a light polishing. I hope the extra coats of TS13 will hide some of the decal flaws. Steve.
  22. Hi everyone, I have a bottle of Renault Royal blue from paints4u. I need to find a thinner for it. Or a very good match of model paint. Thank you. Steve
