  1. Thanks Steve, here are the wheels that will be available let me know which ones look best.
  2. Thank you Jeremy. Just as I was taking off the Tamiya tape I put a tiny ding in the paint, not too visible but it happens. It seems no matter how careful you are Murphy has his way of getting into the program one way or another!! Best regards, Steve
  3. Paint polished and chrome trim added except for the rear window and break light areas.
  4. Two coats of black urethane applied from Bob's paints each coat is wet sanded. I applied some Tamiya TS-13 clear decanted for use in my airbrush thinned with Tamiya lacquer thinner, then sprayed a few light mist coats and re-wet sanded. Now its ready for a healthy dose of clear coats. After that I will do all the polishing only with wet micro mesh for now.
  5. Here is some really cool stuff to use, its Micro-scale decal restorer. Its used over older decals that have been cracked. I used it to do the photo-etched flaps on this 1/48 P-40N Warhawk, it shrinks to invisible. The way I used it was I dabbed a little where I want to place something and held it for a few seconds then added more until I was happy it wasn't going to fall off. I did a pull test also and it worked pretty good. Try it with a spare and see if it works for you. Best regards, Steve Cook
  6. Tamiya fine white primer applied, sanded with 3600 wet micro mesh, now ready for paint.
  7. Hi Jason, you are a miracle. For someone who is disabled you are extremely gifted to do beautiful work such as the one you have finished. My brother in law hit a tree in a very fast nova and was crushed into the glove compartment, he is now a quadriplegic but has managed to able himself to do things quite well ,he is also a miracle. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!! Best regards, Steve Cook
  8. Hi Jason, the steering wheel is from Detail Master. Its Detail Master 1:24 1:25 DM-2332 3pc race car steering whls 17". That interior looks really nice!!
  9. Wow!! That is an excellent engine!! Awesome detail work!! You did an outstanding job Jason!! The braided wire is from Model empire in West Allis WI. It is Detail Master DM-1301 braided line # 1.020 Here is a link to their website: http://modelempireusa.com/
  10. Hi John, its very easy to work with. Try to roll the end of it a bit so it will slide into the fitting. Then you can paint the end of the fitting with some Tamiya clear red or clear blue looks cool!! Ill send you a piece along with the wire looms and a few compression fittings. You will love it!! Here are a few pics of the hood so far. I still cant figure out how to get rid of those tiny minute scratches I need something really soft to buff with and a really good polishing compound I will have to try Meguirar's hopefully it will work. Steve
  11. Hi Bill, thank you for the heads up. Here is a pic of the engine finished.
  12. Thank you Jon. I did manage to figure out the pe linkage but I'm going to apply that to a better resin engine.
  13. Here are a few pics of some engine details added. Hopefully I can add the radiator hoses, battery cables, and a few more odds and ends to make it look a little more detailed, I'm just an amateur at this, but trying.
  14. Hi John, the steering wheel is from detail masters and the seat belts are just molded in the plastic. I put a little future on them to get a little perspective to them. Right now I'm more focused on is everything straight and inline and does it look like that on the real car. I sent you an email earlier I got the stuff you were looking for here. I will need your mailing address. Best regards, Steve.
  15. John you are a WIZARD!! Awesome detailing!!
  16. A few more updates added today. Panel displays installed and greasy side start up.
  17. Let me know what you need. I will see what I can do. Best regards, Steve
  18. Here are a few new pics of more interior work. I added the gas pedal and break pedal, along with the emergency break. New pe window handles, new pe steering wheel, hope I did it right or got close to doing it right. I'm still waiting for the floor mats, and instrument panel decals. Any how let me know what you think or anything that looks goofy. Thanks, Steve Cook
  19. I just bought a new set of steering wheels from Detail Master. Would anyone have a few pics of how you assembled yours? Thank you ,Steve.
  20. I here you John, I have been trying to figure out some additions for the greasy side like break cables, gas lines, shocks, etc... and with all the after market stuff out there the choices are endless, but that is what makes it fun. I like those builders who can solder a frame chop out parts and re-modify everything, makes for some real nice eye candy. Take care John, Steve Cook Here are a few pics of another project I have been working on.
  21. Thank you John, yes its the older MPC kit. I will get some more details in there today.
  22. Great work Steven, I'm just learning how to do model cars after doing model aircraft for a good 20 years. Your work and attention to detail is outstanding, hopefully I will pick up some pointers from you. Thank you for sharing your work. Best regards, Steve Cook
