  1. Excellent build and paint finish!! Really like the tire debris technique!! The one red wheel, cool !! Best regards, Steve Cook
  2. Can Tamiya TS-13 be sprayed over Alclad2 chrome?
  3. Thank you everyone for the kind compliments. I think my roof decal will be coming today. I will take new pictures with a top coat and roof number applied to protect the decals. I know these types of cars at the era were using decals, but I want to protect the car and the decals. Best regards, Steve
  4. Excellent build and a beautiful finish, great work Jake!! Best regards, Steve
  5. Thank you Kevin. I really love NASCAR. I hate it when the cars crash and ruin those beautiful paint or wrap jobs. I just showed my brother the car and he said it looked nice, now it needs to cash into a wall!! Arrrrr
  6. Hi, hope you like the build so far. I'm not sure if things are right, so feel free to let me know about any improvements I might need. I'm waiting for the top decal to come in the mail because I destroyed the one I had. This is the first car model Ive built in a few years. I used scale finishes paints and Tamiya primer on this one, but I want to find out more about using a Urethane top coat. Best regards, Steve
  7. WOW!! That is a really beautiful finish Bill and a really cool looking Vette. I do have a can of Testors wet look lacquer but I'm not sure if its the same as you are describing.
  8. Which type of clear coat can I use safely over decals "but not future". I want to wet sand after a few light mist coats that would be applied over the decals. I have scale finishes super clear on now and each layer has been wet sanded with a very nice shine without any decals on yet. I'm stuck trying to figure out what the next step will be after I apply the decals with a clear coat that can be wet sanded, that wont eat the decals. Any help would be greatly appreciated, best regards, Steve
  9. Had fun building this kit, a little finicky at time but I managed to make it through. Hope you like the way it turned out.
  10. If anyone has a cool tip on how to get the edges of these decals to lay down better, or if there is a way to clear coat over them it would be appreciated. Thank you, Steve.
  11. This is my second build from Fujimi. This is one of the 2 kits they put out from the movie blade runner. The kit goes together perfect. There are optional photo-etched parts you can get for this kit from, Para Grafix. I installed all the lighting using the build article from, http://www.therpf.com/member.php?u=55695&s=e879553f447e2f703abb9f0213e40024 this article was very helpful. Anyway here is the completed build pics, hope you like it.
  12. Thank you Peter, its my camera. The color output over the almost 10 years Ive had the camera has dwindled. I will have to get a better one one of these days.
  13. Thank you Jim, at first I didn't know what it was either. I did find out through out throughout the build thats its from the TV series Blade Runner.
  14. John!! You are da MASTER!!! Totally awesome details and research work!! Not to mention beautiful painting. Keep me posted brother!! Best regards, Steve
  15. Beautiful work John!! Really love the high details!! She is going to be a beauty!!!!!!!! Best regards, Steve !!
  16. Thank you Dr Snapper, here is a link to the build/ install. I used everything in this build article. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=192776
  17. Awesome detail John!! You Sir a da MASTER!! :O)
  18. Thank you Jim, I was hoping for a few different versions in this scale but I only know of this one. I seen a few other builds on the internet that the builder just went all out with machined parts, carbon fiber decals, and a whole host of after market additions. This is strictly out of the box except for the Camel decals. Most likely if I get the chance to do another one,I will add more. Glad you like it, Steve
  19. Thank you Carl, cant wait to get working on another one of these. It always works out that way for me, this first model is usually a learning experience and the second one is always the one with better accuracy and more detailed. Steve
