  1. Well you should. I know we do.
  2. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? I mean, I get you're saying people should do it right, but are you just gum-flapping and not acting on it? If someone opens a panel wrong, are you just going to tell him it's wrong, or or you going to help him gel better and then, as a result, get your wish? I didn't really wanna get involved in a flame topic, but I had to ask you.
  3. Fame corrupts, though. If I got famous, I'd probably get all nervous about losing it.
  4. "Well, some fellas are lucky and some ain't." **iReviso!!**
  5. Everything on the chassis is black. Always flat black, no exceptions. Steering, driveshaft, tank, etc... All black. I gather everything that's flat black and paint it while still on the trees.
  6. Whose Line Is It Anyways?
  7. I think a truck is a vehicle meant for material transport with an open cargo bay, or bed. Rancheros, Caminos, longbox Ts, and pickups such as Rams or Rangers are trucks. These go in the light utility section with vans. Basically, we have sections to draw the best viewer audience for our builds. (I believe...) I wouldn't put a Fad with a shortbox in the Light Utility section because frankly I don't believe it has any utility at all.
  8. I think it's a niche just like any other topic we have. Why not give it a glass section, as well as All The Rest?
  9. You forgot one thing. The base car has to look a little bit good at first, so the Cav is out of the picture
  10. The AMT Fruitwagon I got today is already helping out More flak against the Chevy dudes.
  11. Can build a stock T roadster, a C cab truck, a C cab fruit wagon, a stock C cab truck, a shortbed Bucket hot rod, a jot rod truck, a fruit wagon hot rod, a roadster hot rod. Two different engines, a four banger and a Lincoln.
  12. All too well.... Here are some idea pics for you rust heads out there, one I saw on a Dodge Ram today at Goodwill.
  13. $23.99 at Hobby Lobby, with 40% coupon... $13.01 for TWO cars, with extras!!
  14. Welding and fabrication, I think.
  15. What year Ranger have you got? Congrats on the cert.
  16. That would mean a lot of digging.
  17. Would it have been possible if they had molded the floorpans to the interior tub and made a separate chassis, or is the Charger a unibody?
  18. I wish I had more time on the engine lathes at school. I had Tech 1 last year, which was basic electronics and blacksmithing. That was half a year. Then I had Tech 2 which was welding. Now this year I have Advanced Tech. Advanced Tech is for, obviously, advanced students, ones who did well enough in the other classes to get bumped up. It runs the full year. However, because I didn't do gym last year (a full year class, mind you) they're making me cut Tech off half a year early so I can do half of the credit this year. Seriously? I don't believe I'll be running for a living, so what's the sense in that? Now I'm going to have to go through a big event with getting the courses changed so I can have a full year of Tech now (no problem, there are six people in it currently). Public school system, I tell ya.
  19. I'd guess it doesn't get as much traffic as the other scales.
  20. Is Classic Tractor on RFD or whatever it is? Used to watch that back when we had DTV.
  21. Where all the white women at?
  22. Well, doesn't matter if you display your models right-side-up anyways, does it
  23. Beautiful. Is it a curbside kit?
  24. Rust and chrome started. Needs touch-up, but when doesn't it? I'm going to drill a tiny bit into the starts of the rust marks and blackwash em for a little depth. The big rust mark in the lower left needs the most attention. Still, I'm going over all the rust (or most of it) with darker brown highlights and blackwash. The only paints I've used so far for detailing. I started with the plain plastic body and sprayed Krylon Royal Blue, I believe. Then I masked off the door, which I painted Model Master Dark Green. Real nice paint. The roof, then, was masked off. Sprayed with Wal-Mart Equipment Gray Primer, then with Rust-Oleum Semi-Gloss White. Thanks for looking!
