  1. The build is looking good Mike. Two questions, can you post a pic of your grey scratch filler, so I can know what I'm getting at my LHS, or on line, and I've got to know who your avatar is can you tell me?
  2. Welcome to the forum Mike, love your work so far. For a guy just getting back into modeling you sure did retain some good tricks. I wished I knew more on computers I would take a picture of a 1976 Harley police bike I built, it's a 1/6 scale Tamiya. One of the only kits remaining in my done collection, Because of cats, a house fire, curios children and well life. I would not have room for them all anyway. I'll try to get more savvy and get pic's out. Cheers, jaftygas.
  3. Hello, My name is Joe, aka Jaftygas. Don't ask about the name the wife's idea. I'm in my middle 40's and have missed the model building for about 15 years. I'm working less and have some time on my hands, As well as 30+ kits in my shop's rafters. I was inspired by a pinteres post online one day. It was a model of an old 29 rat rod and had to look twice. While a very good job, all those thoughts of what I would do different back in the day came to mind. Well that was two weeks or so ago, and I've always wanted to chop a top, successfully I mean and got out a 5 window coupe kit and the Xacto saw. It turned out great for me and the rest is, the future. Hope to have some fun with this cool site. It's really nice to know I'm not the only person out there with what most people in my experience would call a OCD sickness. Well their loss! This has been one of greatest pastimes for young people and I've loved it from the earliest age. Cheers, Joe aka Jaftygas.
  4. I forgot to mention how much I love Tamiya kits. I have been building 1/6 scale Harleys for years. I think I'm going to build the 1970 Honda CB 750, but one thing at a time. I'm currently working on a 32 five window rat rod and trying to get back into the craft. I should go to the into and introduce my self. Cheers,
  5. Oh my god! The header is unbelievable. I'm sorry for putting my question on the scratch filler in the form of a statement, but you got the idea. pearly academic. Anyways thanks for the answer. I'm not into the early European stuff, but my god man I will be eyeing this post like a hawk! Cheers.
  6. My hat is off to you Mike that is some sick styrene work. What is the grey stuff on all of your seams.
