  4. Lookin good wayne. Been waitin for an update on this. Good job so far
  5. Also, a lot of car haulers sit that low so they can haul SUVs on the top rack and not be too tall
  6. This truck has air ride on the steer axle. The shop installed a dump valve do it sit that low while parked. But there are trucks that sit low that work everyday. In the 10-4 magazine there are countless laid out trucks that work. James davis has an orange and black 379 you cant roll a baseball under the bumper. If you look on tenfourmagazine.com youll see 25 years worth of monthly cover trucks
  7. Thats the most important part chuck, havin fun.
  8. Welcome back alex. Im sure youve noticed things have changed a bit over the years
  9. Welcome josh, im really likin the 50 chevy pro street.
  10. Tough, mean, cool, its hard to get a 377 to look good. You did it, this is the nicest 377 ive seen.
  11. Oh boy, you couldnt even get to your bench. Youve got some real nice kits waitin up on the shelves. I keep telling my wife what i have is nothing compared to what ive seen. What i gave is just drop in bucket. But you guys have a set area, i dont yet. Im sure gonna try to catch up!
  12. They were there just for the pic. I had to pick which 1s i was puttin in storage till im ready to build. She doesnt mind my modeling, as long as it doesnt end up like the pic all over the house
  13. That looks tough. Nice conversion. Good job
  14. Evil bay. 1 of them ended around midnight and i got it for 45 bucks with shipping. I have 2 more comin and 2 more 377s.
  15. I agree jim, 100%. Too many museums to mention use models in some way shape or form.
  16. I finally got around to gettin a pic of my collection. Although unbuilt, i have only 2 finished, a 56 chevy, 359 pete, 1 close to done my lonestar and reefer, 1 started my ca hauler and freuhauf trailer, the race trailer i recently procured from JT, and plenty of big plans. The 1st pic is my truck kits, then a group of all, trucks and cars
  17. Today the IFTA (interstate fuel tax assc.), those must be on the sides of the truck, with unobstructed view. The DOT inspection sticker goes on the bottom right hand part of the windshield. Most states require the truck license plate be displayed on the front bumper as vision is obstructed by the trailer to clear glance at while passing through the scale or port of entry. As far special special permit, registration and other types of stickers have different places they should placed. Like i said thats for todays trucks. I cant tell you about the 70s and 80s. Best advice i can give is to search the internet for pics from those times and go from there.
  18. He has intentions, but no time. I didnt make a dent in his collection. What i got is just what he multiples of. He says the models are for his retirement. Hes been stock piling for around 15 years. He has in the neighborhood of 400 kits, ALOT of 1st runs and really rare. I knew pretty much what i was looking at so i didnt even ask, he said if theres more than 1, im more than welcome to them. Theres a few imports im not sure what to do with, but free is free
  19. The big john mazmanian kit really intrigued me, i guess because its a nostalgia willys gasser and the red tinted glass. The reher and morrison 83 camaro kit is a 1st run as is most of these kits. Thinkin of doing a nostalgic drag dio, i picked up a couple of old amt parts pack drag set off the bay last year. Maybe do a starting line and staging lanes dio with the funnys and gassers
  20. This is my 1st post on this side of the forum. Im usually a big truck builder, but i was given permission to raid my step dads collection. Havent started any of these but am lookin forward to building these. Already have some wild ideas and directions i want to go with some, some will be built as intended.
