  1. This an end id like to see get made. A spread axle, high side Mac.
  2. Itd be nice if theyd do a 9900ix, so these can be built. It would be cool if they would do "a little" re-tooling, and make the lonestar and prostar, day cab kits.
  3. Gott dang it boy that is a nice truck. Very nice work. Awesome detail
  4. Not privilege to discuss the kit, but its the fact that Dave does not have to be involved in the discussion. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and some here seem to be bothered, upset whatever because some dont see it their way. 1 thing is for sure and we all agree, is we want an accurate representation of the 1:1. To expect perfection, not in my opinion, hope for perfection, you bet ya. Having a conversation, nothing wrong with it, but some of the responses kinda got personal, was that really necessary. For the most part were adults, have our opinions and respect that the next guys may not be the same, some like me, will agree with some points of the opinions. Should the manufacturers hold themselves to a higher standard, absolutely. Now when the final kit is released, and you, this goes out to everyone, if the kit does not meet your standards for what you consider to be "perfect", speak with your wallet, its that simple.
  5. I agree Terry. People sure are getting fired up. Actually a little too much, it is, in the end, 1/25 plastic model kit. Not a heart transplant, or a mortgage payment. Like you ill buy it, just build it how i want. My perfect, well hopefully. As im not much above the glue on the windshield builder. Which i like that analogy. Looking at the early test shots, my only observation is the roof and door window. When the new "test shot" is posted, then the discussion and opinions will be more relevant. I agree with you to Harry, lets wait to see how the revisions come out. Its just funny how grown men are bickering like little old bitties, over, again, a 1/25 plastic model kit thats still in development. They should be lucky that we have this forum to discuss new kits, and feel overly privileged that the manufacturer is communicating and listening to the feedback. I will again say thank you Dave, for posting the test shots and reading our feedback.
  6. In my opinion, the only thing i can see wrong is the door window opening is too far forward, giving this roof more of a dodge pickup look. If they move the rear door window post back, making the cab pillar smaller, that give it the ford roof. The windshield does look a little different, but when things are scaled down, they could look wrong or shaped weird. From the test shots, for me, if they fix the door window, thatll do it, unless im not seeing something or just dont know totally what to look for.
  7. You sure hit the nail Tom. Just about everytime i have paint job come out really nice, either i drop it or the wind kicks up while its drying and off to play in the dirt it goes. I had it happen to me this past weekend, the wind kicked up and luckily it was just the visor my red pete that was victim, but now i gotta fix it. Mark i feel your pain and frustration.
  8. Just remember terry, its gonna take a few weeks for your order to get in. I ordered rims, tires, fenders and some odds and ends. Bens a cool guy, i will do business with him again. At least he was up front about how long itll take for my parts. He didnt leave me hanging, and his communication is excellent, he answers emails within a day or 2.
  9. http://bwicke9.wix.com/class-a-resin#! Heres the link to ben wicker. Your gonna like what he has Terry, much more than just the binders. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from him. It does take time, my stuff is 5 to 8 weeks out.
  10. Bummer, i hate when that happens
  11. Now let me say this. Being of mediocre skill, i dont worry about an oil filter not being right, or the wheels not quite correct. But the body does need to be right, look correct. Now im not 1 to build show room replicas or beaten or weathered models. I know there are hard core, scale replica builders out there, i can appreciate what they do, and what they do does looks great. I agree with you Bob, the body needs to be right, look correct, with little to no fixing by the builder. But you are doing, what i feel is the right thing, as far as i know, as i dont know you on any level besides what ive read on this thread. The best way to express your opinion on a product is to just not buy it. With that said, i wont by a kit, just to buy it, to support a company, cause or hobby, i build what i want. I have an idea already turning in my head for this kit, based on that i will buy it. I think i understand what your saying, you dont want perfect, but correct, if that makes sense. Yes the kit companies need to hold themselves to higher standard, not just put it out, to get it out. You are entitled to your opinion, as everyone is, thats all your doing here. I agree with some of your points and disagree with some. Thats human nature and you should not be ridiculed for your opinions. Not that what i say means anything to anybody. Now again, im of mediocre skill and will pick this kit up when it becomes available, because of the idea i have for this build, if it comes out how im picturing, chances are ill buy another, for 1 reason, because i want to. These companies are not by any stretch, holding a gun to our heads telling to buy our products or else. If you review a product or item, if it doesnt have good enough reviews for you, dont buy it, as you have said and done. There absolutely nothing wrong with that. I applaud anyone who does, because thats the best way to express your feelings of a product. If more time is needed to get this kit correct and get the quality of it better, i say take your time, im sure we will survive and the little longer wait will bring anticipation up, and in theory it will sell quickly. The more i look at the test shots, the more the wheels turn in my head on customizing this kit.
  12. An off topic comment, those trailers need be made in 1/24- 1/25. Those are awesome. Back on topic. The rc trucks can get really nice to just ridiculous, like that red pete with the white tribal graphics, that is just out of control, in a very good way.
  13. Welcome owen. I got into rc cars for a little bit, didnt care for it as i like flashy paint jobs. I got tired of breaking of it, as i wasnt good, not at all. So i got rid of most of my stuff, kept 1 for fun, big brushless motor, paddle tires. I got out of racing rc, got back into modeling. It just takes time, patience, and sometimes to take a step back and think. Anyway, the body on the left looks great. Dont be afraid to ask questions, this is a great forum, full of good knowledgable people.
  14. That pic kinda looks like what would be a new subaru brat.
  15. That looks great. Nice build display and unbuilt collection
  16. That 1 would be a serious project, if 1 were to go exact. It has lambo doors. That paint job would be a bit difficult, or maybe try to make decals to resemble.
  17. Looks awesome. The detail work is just amazing. This an awesome build and terrific work.
  18. Lookin good. The straight no muffler look will be perfect, 4 or 5 in. Small is the way to go on this i think. Whatever you decide, itll look great chuck!
  19. Im not a ford guy. That being said, this kit looks good to me. I consider myself to have a little bit more than basic skills when it comes to building models. I, myself, dont look for perfection. There really is and never will be, to me, the perfect kit. Unless 1 comes out exactly whats in my head. Thats FUN about the HOBBY, making it, how you think is perfect. From the 1st kit i discovered changing things, rims, motors, steering wheels, whatever, i knew i liked custom, and figured i can build whatever i want. This ford pickup is an icon in fords history. Not even being a ford fan, ill pick 1 up, whenever it becomes available, and guess what, it more than likely will not be built box stock. Like platerpants said, nothing is perfect. I look forward to anything moebius puts out because their quality is fantastic, top notch. Id be proud to own 1 of these kits, and make it "my perfect". This truck is gonna be good 1 when its released. Im part of that 95% that doesnt know the difference if its perfect to a 1:1 or not. The moebius people are doing their best, thats all anyone can ask, of anyone. Moebius is doing a great job trying new things, making products better and keep their company moving forward. I respect that and support them as much as "my pocket" will let me. Keep going moebius, to me your doing great. Keep up the great work, this truck is looking good, and im sure the finish product will more than satisfy the majority of the consumer.
  20. Licensing with Navistar is great, but as far i know for highway tractors, its just international and a joint venture with CAT. If you were to get licensing with Paccar, that opens up Pete and KW. With trailers, licensing with Mac would open you up to flatbeds, end dumps, liquid and dry bulk and all else Mac has going on. Moebius might want to consider doing more wheel and tire sets, for more vehicles, different sizes for big trucks. That really wouldnt require licensing on wheels or tires since brands dont need to be involved. In my area the big rig wheel and tire sets are flying off shelves, if they can be found at the LHS. The suggestion on a transporter would be great to see. Moebius put out a few versions of the popular NASCAR teams. The aftermarket would cover the decals for the rest, nascar, nhra, on and on and on. Dave a big THANK YOU for starting and being part of this discussion. It really clears up any confusion and questions on how things work, direct from the source. You have great products and look forward to new products. Harry P., my apologies for getting out of line on the other thread. This a good place full of good people, theres no excuse for letting someone get under my skin. Thats a great idea about classic transporters and ramp trucks. Im a chevy guy, id like to see a 50 chevy cabover.
  21. Its lookin great tom. Gonna be very nice when its done.
  22. Hey, Marcay. A bit of a trick my truck fan i see! Nice job replicating that freightliner
  23. Welcome to the forum. Take seat and enjoy
