  1. I built this in about 2 days. Been wanting to build it since I 1st saw it on TV.
  2. Very true, another band with line up changes that have the fans arguing from here to there, Metallica. Im 1 that feels that they fell off after justice, but they produced decent music after. From Dave Mustaine being replaced, Cliff Burtons untimely death, Jason Newstead leaving with Rob Trujillo replacing. They produced decent songs on each album, but nothing like the stuff before justice. This is just opinion, im not a hard core, spit on their feet fan, but the last album i purchased was Garage inc. I did not and will not buy St. Anger or Death Magnetic. I did buy All Nightmare Long off itunes, only good song off death magnetic, IMO. I really like Journey. Is it still Journey without Steve Perry, no. But the replacement guy does sound scary close. Look at Aerosmith, they went through a brief line up change. Now they are still together, still going strong and sounding good. A band that i think really should hang it up, is Bon Jovi. John does not have the power in his pipes anymore and they do not sound anything like Bon Jovi anymore, Johns voice and no Ritchie Sambora. Another band with its ups and downs with different lead vocals, Anthrax. Im not sure if i can name every lead singer. They had goods and bads, then goods and bads again, along the way. A band with ups and downs, glam band mediocre but sounds alright to listen to, but still the original members, Poison. Despite almost killing each other on numerous occasions, have weathered the storm. Like i said the music is the typical glam mediocre. Def Lepard, has done pretty well after losing a member to his own demons, and almost another in an accident. Toughed out the rough stuff and still sound decent.
  3. Hey hey, i said thomas guide, its spiral bound, yet some how it still gets folded wrong, i cant figure it out. Maybe a self edumacated person can help
  4. I was being sarcastic. It wasnt my intention to step on anybody who has or is getting an education. The other day, at mickey Ds, my total came out 6.85, i handed the little blonde 7.00, then i said oh wait i have the 85 cents, no BS she said whats that for, you gave me plenty. My jaw dropped, i couldnt believe i actual heard that! The whole GPS thing, i have GPS, and the trusty ol thomas guide, i can read a map, i prefer it over the GPS in a sense, the GPS can help navigate freeways like LA, where there are 3 or 4 intersecting, but city streets, i want to know what streets lead up to the 1 i need, reading a map is becoming a lost art, like hyroglyphics, wow that was a big word i better sit down, dammit, i already am. Anyway, my paint is finally dry, back to modeling!
  5. I could have swore i saw IH orange.
  6. CGC certified it, so it says
  7. Me too Glen, i need an aspirin every time i see that post. Thats funny Tom, there are quite a few know it alls on here that can educate better than those who apparently, foolishly spent a lot of time money on getting a higher education. What irks me, paint doesnt dry fast enough sometimes, today it is not.
  8. Elizabeth truck center in jersey did that 1 and a red with white tribal lonestar. Both look amazing.
  9. Its up to 1,750,200 right now
  10. I love vega's. My Dad put eye bolts in the floor between the tubs of his vega and drove me around when i was in a car seat to put me to sleep. I was doomed from the start to be a gearhead chevy guy. Put to sleep in a tubbed vega.
  11. Ive read that some guys paint the base color, the color of the stripe. Use a good masking tape to resemble how you want the stripe to be, then clear it. Let it dry completely. Then spray the other color, unmask and clear again. They say the clear over the tape seals the edge. But be sure to let the 1st coat of clear dry completely, very important so it doesnt pull the edges up.
  12. Are you gonna have a booth? Or are you part of the staff
  13. Thanks a lot guys. The last show i went to was the cactus classic, it might have been the last 1 15 years ago, not sure. But i will for sure be in ontario and try to get to canoga park in october. Pegasus has a club, they meet every 3rd saturday, after store hours. I havent had a chance to get to it yet, i drive truck so time is short for me. But I just switched to a different company, i should get more time now. Again, thanks for the info, ill sure try to get to the OC fairgrounds too.
  14. Ben has some great products, he is a very cool guy to deal and up front. It will take 5 to 8 weeks to get your parts after the order is placed, ben will the 1st to tell you about the wait, casting takes time.
  15. Thanks Pete. I just got back into the hobby about a year and want to get more involved than just building for me to look at.
  16. Im gettin a headache, to many big words.
  17. How can i find out when there are shows here in so cal, i would totally be there but just seen this today.
  18. Im planning on being there, gettin a few builds squared away, a few new builds done, cant wait, itll be my 1st show in 15 years or so
  19. Bill, guess i got 1 of the last of the 1/24 pete hoods from ya. Im sure glad, its very nice, cant wait to get the build started. Clayton
  20. Purple power, thats the actual name on the label, is a degreaser, and both castrol and purple power are from the auto parts. I put my tub on the patio so if for some reason a cat or just accidentally it spills or gets knocked over it does make a mess in the house or garage, and here in southern cali the temps are warm in the shade, around 80 or 90
  21. Ive been watchin this like i was in tech school. Very cool stuff.
  22. I agree the guy rollin around in his lifted f350 with his programmer on level 9, is definitely guilty of more dollars than sense. Sorry to pick on ford guys but i cant help it, i bleed chevy orange
  23. Castrol super clean, purple power, easy off oven cleaner, brake fluid. Ive used purple power, it worked great, let it soak for a few days, scrubbed with an old toothbrush and a little purple power and warm water. Castrol super clean is harsh as is easy off, outside with rubber gloves, or youll remove the skin off your fingers.
