  1. The company i recently quit, had nice equipment, the old man would pay for just about whatever you wanted to do it. But that didnt make up for the small pay checks, my family nor i can eat the truck. I had it lookin awesome, winning trophies at shows, but the new job is less hours, more money, and the truck runs well, looks like a rough dump truck but the paycheck makes up for that.
  2. Im good now, just had vent, even though it bothered somebody, i will keep building what i want. Cuz thats all that matters if i like whats sittin on my shelf.
  3. Those are all good, i think they all would sell.
  4. This is what irks me, it seems as though a few are knocking the chromed and flashy big trucks, 1:1 and kits. I was gonna post this in the topic but decided this was the proper place and didnt want another topic locked out, so here it is... Here in so cal, there are many many, blinged out, flashy, chromed whatever you wanna call it, working 10x harder than those fleet trucks. Look up any show report in so cal, 95% of the trucks at our shows are working trucks. The hay haulers, transfer dump trucks, land alls, wreckers, i can keep going, we take pride in our trucks out here, yeah our weather is better than the east coast and we can keep our trucks cleaner. Fleet trucks are fine, but theres no pride, those are for steering wheel holders, not truck drivers. I build what i want, and what i want is the big and flashy. I dont see any reason for me to want or like to build "fleet" trucks. Im not knocking those who want to build fleet trucks or well worn, thats fine, the work those who do build that way is amazing. Not for me, just dont try to down play the chrome and flashy with it being beginner, or toyish.
  5. Id be interested in a few sets right now. Bridgestone steer tires too.
  6. It would be cool if you guys did an engine kit like you did with the rims and tires. I buy the rim and tire sets every time i see them. But i know licensing from cummins needs to happen 1st. I would buy quite a few engine kits if they were come out
  7. Gold, looks more like what would be rollin out of the fire house
  8. It went for 3,207,852
  9. Im sure of this. If the next truck is anything like the Lonestar and Prostar, itll be a hit. Maybe a day cab conversion with shorter frame rails could be an option. Thanks for the info Dave. Lookin forward to hearing whats new for 2015
  10. Some day i will have 1 of these trailers. Its on the top of my wish list!
  11. That wouldnt surprise me if it went to 3 mil.
  12. And the government wonders why unemployment is up. The stores seeing online services are more profitable than an employees wages, workmans comp, insurance, benefits. Big stores are gonna keep going that way, and putting people out of work. Now with the rumors of amazon getting drones, and offering same day delivery in some major areas, why does the consumer need to go to a store for some things. I dont like it. I still like walking, yes walking in to a store and looking around at stuff. Asking ?s getting advice, just shootin the wind about a project or idea with somebody that has knowledge of what you have in mind. How about going to a store thats has the product your looking for, on the shelf, at a good price and has a little hottie cashier. Those days are going away. Very sad. I do not own husky or cobalt tools, im sure they are great, but my grandpa used craftsman, my dad, now i, use craftsman, i have their tools now that they both have passed away. I have, i dont use them, my grandpas corded and keyed cast aluminum 3/8 drive drill, and a sears craftsman bench grinder. Both still work if need be. My cordless tools are craftsman, roll aways, i love my craftsman tools. What i can use on modeling, you bet ya, craftsman, bought at my local sears.
  13. Those are super singles.
  14. Here are some better pics, outside
  15. With gas prices gettin high like they have been for years now. More people are shopping from home. Im guilty of it, for 1, being a truck driver the stores i usually buy at are closed when i have time or at home to shop, so online i go. Ive bought many things from online retailers not for convenience but lack of options, i do try my hardest yo support my local stores, and mainly my LHSs, i.e. Hobby People, Hobby Lobby, these are local in town and Pegasus, even though its a 45 minute to an hour drive away. Now for sears, our sears here still has a very good selection for tools and equipment, 90% of the tools in both of my craftsman rollaways are craftsman tools. Actually our sears and OSH both have a great selection of tools, the sears and kmart both have a wide variety of appliances and electronics with reps to help. I just bought a new pressure washer and another set of hand tools. Its just shame that sears isnt doing well in some cities, i bought my 1st real set of tools from sears.
  16. The dump body looks like it might have had a spreader hangin off the back
  17. I hate when things just dont go right, it takes the wind right out the sails of motivation
  18. But what can you expect? This is Central Florida.

  21. Ive been truckin through southern Nevada and southern Cali all week. Its been flitrin with 100, high humidity, monsoonal rain at times, strong winds. Been ridiculous all week. This morning its clear, which will change by afternoon, the wind blowin, about 20 to 30 mph, gusts 50 mph, the monsoon moisture will arrive around noon here. The guys at my company that have been goin to Arizona said its 105 and rainin at 3 in the mornin. 110 and almost rainin, if not rainin in the afternoon. Thats just nasty. Guess its a good thing im startin on a new model project and wont be painting for a bit anyway.
  22. Thanks for the quick tutorial. I will be trying it out for sure. This truck is looking really good. Im speechless at the detail so far. Cant imagine how much more detail theres gonna be. Very nice work
  23. Now your diggin deep Terry.
