An 06 with a 3406E? It must've been a glider or somebody is confused.

Here's the cab. It is not cleared yet. The interior still needs to be installed, window trim painted, decals applied, and a few other things. Here's a sneak peak at how it's gonna look.

I painted the frame as planned. It is Duplicolor Metal Specs silver. The wheels are just on there for now. Next I'm going to prime and paint the cab. I'll then apply the decals then clear.

I did try that and it wasn't right. I was thinkin of doin this, drilling out the tabs and putting a rod through. But since it is visible, I couldn't do it in good conscience.

I got the suspension to sit right. It on took a lighter and creativity. I had to heat the frame to correct the warpage, if that's the right word. Now I'm gonna finish the frame assembly then prime and paint, hopefully today.

Great project man. There are a few firehouses that use a bright orange, almost florescent. This will be really nice unit when it's done.

Yep, all I've heard people squawk about is the frame being twisted. I thought about cutting the pins off, drilling it out and using some small rod. But that will be seen. So I'll end up widening the frame to meet the axle.

Thanks for tip JT. I just scuff sanded to body panels, gonna get some primer on it here shortly. I'm gonna do the frame with the lowered front end, then set on a flat surface to dry. Hopefully the wheels won't be tryin to impersonate a lift axle.

Here's the step to mount it. The axle is molded all 1 piece, which is no big deal. Here's the step after showing it mounted.

Thanks for the tip on the engine. I'll do it that way. The front end issue is circled. Here's a close up the left and right side. The pin and cradles.

The second car here is perfect. I'm sure it has a modern motor, modern suspension and brakes. I really like the 69s too. They are just way out of my price range. But, I'm very happy to have my 72. Even though it's far from stock and almost not streetable. But a real blast.

Congrats man. That's awesome news. Now if get a little paint on the wall, you don't have to worry. And a room just for your stuff. I can't wait for that myself.

Here's the kit. Here's what I have so far. Here's my problem. The front axle. The instructions call for the little pins to sit in the "cradle" in the frame. The right side is sitting per instructions. As you can see it won't line up. The next problem, which might the easier to help with. Where does the engine locate in the frame. There are tubing notches in the trans plate like it's suppose to sit on a tube. But the pins n the sides of the motor don't really fit anywhere.

Here's what I've got started so far. I cut the body panels off the sprue. I was going to assemble the cab, but looked at JT's build and it looked pretty easy to paint then assemble. The hood wasn't a big deal to partially put together. So far it's not a bad build lookin over the parts. I'm undecided on stacks. I may end up doing a set of straight stack replacements for the kit pieces. I really like the chrome stickers. It has most of the chrome Volvo trim.

Yours is lookin great so far. Like I said it's going to.be pretty much box stock. I might lower the front a little to close the gap between the tire and hood. I looked at JT's smoothie with the Volvo under it. I couldnt tell if it made trailer raked to the front or not. I know how I want the skirts to look, hopefully I can make it happen.

Thanks for the help JT. I found this already to.be an involved kit. The 5 piece hood kinda threw me a bit. I expected the cab to be in pieces, typical of Italeri. I'm thinkin blue like Western Distribution. I'm going to do a dry van with doors.

Moebius can remedy the chrome rims problem. Glad I know about that now. I gotta order more rims and tires.

Thanks, I'll check out yours and JT'S builds. I would like to open the hood, but I'm not really feeling like fabricating a firewall. Cool man. Hope this won't disappoint.

I'm gonna start a new project to take a break from my little pete build. I'm gonna build these two pretty much box stock, at least that's the plan. They will be painted to match. I'm gonna to some sort of aero skirting. Any tips or heads up on either of these would be appreciated.
