  1. I don't intend to peterize my builds. Sometimes they end up that way. I'm planning on a pretty much box stock build of it to be safe.
  2. I really like that drive on the 8. I miss riding around in my sandrail down there. But drivin truck through is nice. I usually take a nap on 78 at the Glamis store.
  3. I'm kinda excited about the Stalis. It's gonna be really hard to peterize this.
  4. I know that Grapevine all too well. I sure don't miss truckin on it.
  5. Scored these in a couple of trades. And bought this for a change of pace.
  6. That is cool. I like it!
  7. Here's Rhino's ebay store. http://m.ebay.com/sch/rhino9905/m.html?_pgn=1&isRefine=true
  8. James Taylor recorded You've Got A Friend just after Carole King did. But his version won all the awards and accolades. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xEkIou3WFnM
  9. Awesome work. Those small pieces are very hard to machine, I know, I did it for a few years. If I only had a lathe and a small mill, boy I'd be cooking with fire. You sir do some great machine work. You are a natural.
  10. I wouldn't be picky Kurt. I'm not a rivet counter. As long as it looks the part, it's something that's not an AMT trailer kit, it would be worth it. Like I said, I'll take 1 with a Canadian spread or no spread, as soon/if they are available.
  11. Check Rhino's truck parts on facebook or his ebay store. I'll post a link when I get home later.
  12. Oh boy. They are trying way to hard at makin it look like a Mustang.
  13. Rascal Flatts wasn't the first country group to cover that song. Chris Leduc did it a few years before he passed. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OF-pyWeMLZs
  14. She's a looker. Can't wait to see this done and outside.
  15. Finally. Back on track. I don't have it yet but I will very soon.
  16. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W1bXdXWEKaE Some may know Willie wrote and performed it not much before Patsy.
  17. I'm really tryin. I'll be just fine though. The paint was the main thing frustrating me. Now that it's figured I can get goin on the interior. With the doors open now, I gotta do the flamed door panels, the sound system console, switch extensions and whatever else. I hope to get the frame painted next weekend.
  18. Thanks Tom and Gator. I used a dull exact blade and A LOT of patience. I'm lookin forward to seeing this done as well. I'm trying to take my time and do this right.
  19. If want more GB on here to attach photos, you'll need to go back and delete some stuff. Otherwise your doing the better thing. Then you won't have to worry about it.
  20. The radiator still needs to be finished, the center will be painted a dark grey, almost black
  21. I got the rear window roughed out. I need to fix the corners. I also started detailing the engine. All the plumbing and wiring will mainly be black and silver, with a few green touches here and there.
  22. There's a small town about 45 minutes from me. The population is around 1500 people. They have a "general store" there. It sells groceries, hardware, nik naks, swamp coolers and they have half an isle of hobbies. They have some cool stuff, mostly military. But the paint rack has no lock, even the paint department has no lock. Can you believe it, in California. I found 6 cans of a discontinued Testors paint I really like. I've learned a lot because of the whole Internet thing. I probably would've never learned of BMF, let alone how to do it. I didn't get model mags when I was younger, mainly because they weren't available in my town. The internet has changed the lives of a lot people, not just the hobby. But the interest brings us together, allows us to talk to people we would've never known existed. Brings together to share tips and tricks, trade, go to another states contest that we never know was going on. It's really cool. I haven't anybody in my town that models, so this forum here makes me feel like I'm not only "wierd" one who still "plays with toys". That saying really bothers me but I know I'm not only one who's heard it. I'm thankful for the internet.
