  1. Quick count revealed a potential of over 150 engines. No word from the admins yet as to where I should put it (them). Since there is a mixture (cars, race, trucks, aircraft) I tend to lean towards the General forum. And I think splitting them like this should work: Ford-GM-Chrysler Orphaned makes/Independents/European Trucks/Racers/Aircraft.
  2. Thank you Carl and Mark.Glad you like it.
  3. There are car, truck and aircraft engines in there.
  4. That makes sense, however, that will be an awful pile of threads to follow. Another question, where do I put it (them)? General?
  5. Initial reactions are positive, so we are looking at this plus six or seven scratchbuilt which went into various vehicles. What should I call this thread?
  6. Probably 2 per engine, 3/4 front, 3/4 rear and/or from above if there is anything interesting on top.
  7. I rely on you for the technically accurate stuff.
  8. This is just an opinion check. I have somehow gotten hooked on building engines. I buy some on eBay from breakers, I have many in the junkpile, I have some unbuilt kit which could very well go curbside if they have an interesting engine and I have also scratchbuilt a few. Some have been part of the build they're part of, others have their own thread and many are shown in my engine shop dio. What if I made a thread just for my engines where I could show all of them in one place? Would that be too much of one thing?
  9. Thank you gentlemen, much appreciated.
  10. Likely funsies. The 3D printed engine block is from Flat32, a member here, he makes some incredible stuff. Here is one of his threads :
  11. Thanks Bill. I remember your earlier comments now that you bring them up.
  12. I have several flatheads in the bin. i picked one as a base for another "Vintage Speed" item. It will get a Frenzel supercharger from Pico Elgin on Shapeways, finned heads from Ray's (Flat32) exquisite 3D printed engine and a Flamethrower magneto. Took pencil rubbings from Ray's block to transfer the exhaust port locations to the junk engine.
  13. Thanks guys. If you look at the build thread I had considered no less than 7 colors. Based on the comments here, looks like I picked a popular combination.
  14. Thank you Gene. Glad you like it.
  15. Thanks guys.Glad you like it.
  16. Love it Jim, she’s a beauty.
  17. Thank you.
  18. It sits high. Must be the thicker chassis I used.
  19. In the shop for a final once over.....
  20. Made up an exhaust system using part of the Mercury's along with some solder. Unfortunately I didn't have anything of the same size as the tailpipe. There could be some back pressure. Mounted the body to the chassis. It needed a bit of persuasion. After it was done, I realized I had forgotten to insert the hood. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze it in there somehow.
