  1. Me too.
  2. Yes indeed. L700's have this something undefinable about them which makes them special.
  3. Tulio, if you are talking about the one in the first photo, I may just do that someday. I may even send it to you for a paint job.
  4. Cast two sets of plain Y-Block valve covers and one set of Thunderbird ones. Now I have to learn to make a two part mold to do some exhaust manifolds.
  5. Nice. Looks like it hauled gravel before trailers.
  6. Nice. Love those engines.
  7. In another drawer, apart from the others, were these 3 Y-Blocks. That may be a better fit. Installed the Merc front suspension. Made it poseable. Looks like everything is in the right place.
  8. Seeing I won't be using the Fairlane chassis I was going to do it curbside. But then while rummaging in the engine drawers, I found this 351 from the MPC Mach 1. I assume it is a Cleveland. Anyway, I'll use that one since I already have custom wheels. It'll just give it that extra Ooomph.
  9. X2
  10. Added some side rails to the frame. I found these neat wheels in the parts bin. I think I'll use them with the wide whites. And then, I have to pick a color.
  11. Some Firemall Modelworks wheels and tires. One setr will go on a J10 pickup and the other on the '65 Dodge D100 I just ordered from RMR.
  12. I managed to ruin the decals. I have ordered another set from Mr. Natale. Here it is in the warehouse.
  13. Made a fifth wheel grease smearing tool and tried it out. It works.
  14. Looks good to me. Beau travail.
  15. Looks like we are on the home stretch. Made up some mudflaps out of some old business cards secured with Meng nuts. They have the right thickness, texture etc. Made the stack bracket out of No.18 wire flattened at one end and secured with Meng nuts. Installed the quarter fenders, cable and hoses along with the nice mesh supplied by AITM.
  16. Itpresents well all right. Nicely done.
  17. Very high quality work, I am fascinated by this. Wish I could afford one, I’dbuy the DBR1.
  18. There is absolutely nothing wrong with staining. The originals were likely just varnished but with use they soon looked stained. Your are right on in my opinion.
  19. When you have an Englishman liking my Rolls engine it must mean I got it right.
  20. Drove three and a half hours to join my daughter, her husband, his parents to celebrate my granddaughter’s 12th birthday. Very nice dinner and a nice evening in perspective.
  21. Adding, adding and adding. Slowly.
  22. Added some brightwork. Not my best foiling by far.
