  1. OK, found some with the help of the seller.
  2. I bought this 1/24 Merlin on eBay. Now all these little parts look very pretty but I haven't the faintest idea where they go. I could use the instructions. I suppose it is either Airfix or Trumpeter.
  3. A resin 1/24 Merlin with a number of parts. Now I need the instructions.
  4. Taking pattern to fix the other side which has a tab broken off. I'm leaning towards the blue or British Green.
  5. Here's an overhead shot of the chassis and one with the body on. Next step: decide on a color.
  6. I think so too, even if it is of a slightly smaller diameter than the rest of the piping.
  7. I managed to bend some sprue to make the exhaust pipes. A while back I had bought a Chevy Ilmor Indy engine and it had its suspension parts. Used some if that here for visual interest.
  8. Ahhh, I was wondering how you got to have driven such exotica. Lucky man to have a volunteer job like that.
  9. Thanks JC. I have enough old sprue stuff to afford wasting a few.
  10. Installed the half shafts. This is what I think I'll use for the exhaust pipes. I have yet to heatbend styrene successfully. I was hoping to bend to fit and wrap it with string that I would paint flat white to mimic asbestos wrapping. Yet, I managed to get these two 90's without too much kinking.
  11. Had to turn around to take a photo after driving by it, 1958 Fargo. He put a 4 cyl. Cummins in it.
  12. I’m interested in your welds, did you kake them? Also, is this 1/25?
  13. That is quite the engine. I’m keeping this in my reference material.
  14. Motor is installed and hooked up. Not run yet.
  15. Thanks Carl. Working on the wiring. I found this. The half shafts appear to be the correct length. We'll see. I intend to cut the rear of the body so we can lift it off. Added a piece of angle tothe top of the bulkhead to support it. That scoop doesn't look half bad.
  16. Engine is installed. Some plumbing going on.
