  1. Glad you think so Marc. Sometimes I doubt myself.
  2. Made another hanger for the other end of the transmission. Fabricated supports so the rad goes level with the fan. Made up some rad hoses. They are smallish, but that can be fixed. The drivetrain in place. Tahe auxiliary loo.ks pretty far back. Any closer there wouldn't have been u-joints.
  3. The Speedsters 734 were a special high performance, high everything that came in only had five body styles. It was so exclusive, only 113 were made across the five body styles. Actually 118, counting Eric's.Can we see the others?
  4. Completed the engine supports, attached the main transmission to the engine & put them in the frame. Started on a support for the auxiliary transmission. The cross member is made from the cab support of the Paystar.
  5. Neat. love this.
  6. I'm about to install the engine & transmissions in my project. If I was to show the linkages, what would they look like? General appearance & routing. Thanks.Merci.Danke.
  7. C'est beau ça Jean-Claude. Different, interesting, well executed.
  8. Since I had to remove the upper flanges of the frame, I made new ones on the outside. Relocated the steering boxes and shortened the links. Rerouted the exhaust pipes again to bring them to one stack on the passenger side. After much testing and checking this is where the engine will sit. I can now build rear engine supports.
  9. I attacked the engine first. The manifolds didn't clear the frame enough for it to reach the desired level. So I took the exhaust system off & trimmed about 1/16 from each runner. Now it drops right in. I also trimmed the oil pan a bit. That has to be done first since it may dictate whether I have to move the front axle or not. So far, so good.
  10. Did some studyin'. Found out a few issues, mostly not too serious. Frontier's cab support blocks (under the interior) are a bit high but I sort of like it like that. It is a bit higher than in the photos I have but I won't play with them unless absolutely necessary. And...it has to clear the engine which extends under the cab. One thing I didn't bargain for is the setback front axle. I think I can remedy that by moving the power sterring boxes back and shortening the links and cutting off the front of the frame. This shows how low the 12 sits in the cracker box application. It has to sit that low here too. Right now the frame rail flanges don't clear the manifolds. Making the engine fit will be the biggest challenge.
  11. The elusive GMC B-7000 trans kit.
  12. Got my Frontier cab today. That gives us a good idea of what the old beast will look like.
  13. My take on a rain cap.
  14. Thanks Dennis, Gator, Mark,Gino,Tom & Terry. Whatever scratchbuilding skills I may have, are based on ideas I saw here. Looking back on things, I wish I had had this forum 40 years ago.
  15. Mark, that Dodge is for another project.
  16. Looks like a Northwest Territories license plate.
  17. Fabbed up a spare tire holder. Assembled the Plaskit wheels. After playing with the kit's drums I decided to just glue a 10-24 nut inside each wheel which fits neatly over the spindles.
