  1. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, they're working on the chassis.
  2. That is what I used in my race car hauler
  3. Brian, yes I got it. And the Ford is the N600 from Motor City Resin Casters.
  4. I have the interior as well. You want to trade for something?
  5. Now the Million dollar question: How do I figure out the amount of resin/urethane to mix?
  6. We're talking. Looks like he'll ship. If not I'll get back to you. Won't be the first time. When I restored my '34 Chevy, the one guy in the world who had the part I needed wouldn't ship here. So I got it shipped from Ohio to Arizona to a friend who then shipped it back to me. I seem to remember it travelled over 5000 miles instead of about 700. Go figure.
  7. That is a neat Rambler, and they paid attention to the detailing. Great! Bill Harrah had a Grand Wagoneer with a Ferrai engine and called it the Jerrari. I think Dale's project is squarely in the same line of thought and is very well executed.
  8. Hugh, that was my original intent but the seam line isn't straight, so that complcates things quite a bit. I've looked at several videos and I will go the two part mold with the two halves glued together.
  9. Thanks, found it. Says he doesn't ship to Canada. Sent him a message. We'll see.
  10. It looks like this Mark,
  11. Can't find a link. I had heard about that but the only one I could find was a 1950 or so and was no longer in productio. Does anyone know how to reach those guys?
  12. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I went back & looked at the one I'm trying to reproduce and BINGO! it is newer than 63. One less hurdle.
  13. Thanks guys for the vote of confidence, It turns out the body may be just past the end of my skill set. There are some major differences between both the Chevy cab,the Ford hood and the B-7000's cab & hood. For starters the upper door feature stops short of the firewall on the B while it goes into the fender on the pickup cab. As well, the Ford hood's top surface is straight out from the back while the B's narrows towards the front. And the B's A pillars slants to the front while the pickup cab's slants to the rear. This will be seriously challenging. .
  14. So now that I have an engine, might as well build the truck. Here are the main ingredients for the cab.
  15. I'd like to duplicate this transmission along with the 4-speed which goes with it. Am I better to glue the two halves together and make a two part mold or try and cast each half separately?
  16. This my friends is a potato chip container. It happens to be oval in cross section and very close to a 1:25 profile of that tank.
  17. Charlie it is an "Atlas Editions" from their "Classic motorbikes" series.http://www.atlaseditions.co.uk/collection/Classic_Motorbikes/Classic-Motorbikes-.html
  18. I'm not looking to do a dragster, just a regular hauler with a surprise under the hood. Some of those you are showing me are wicked though.
  19. Thanks Charile. That was the overall intent. Glad to see it is working. I'm planning several engine rebuilding tools for that shop (crank/cam grinder, deck surfacer, line boring machine, etc). Then I have to learn weathering. An ongoing thing.
  20. Thanks guys. Now I feel like starting on the truck itself.
  21. And here it is sporting its new more accurate valve covers.
  22. So an Allison in a road going truck isn't so crazy after all.
