Many years ago, a member of our car club was also an excellent modeller. He used to make his own decals which he made on his printer. Are those plain decal sheets still available?

Does anyone know of a suitable '67 Mustang convertible body, resin or otherwise to make a convertible out of the GT fastback model?

But before any of this work can take place, I have to clean this up!!!!!!

Greg, those are 32's. They would be difficult to modify like the '32 I have. Although there are people here who could do it with one hand behind their back. Wayne, that is called "Light Chestnut". It is a GM color but not '34 Chevrolet. The purists will cringe...

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. When I restored the 1:1 car I stayed stock although with the condition it was in it would likely have been easier to rod it. Now though, there is no question of rodding the model. I intend to stay stock to the point of attempting to replicate the hydraulic front suspension and the dash of the Master. I have this old Chevy that I rescued from a field. I'd like to build a model of it. I probably won't get at it for a while but I'd like to start a thread at least to get some ideas, guidance, etc. Someone suggested putting the top of a Ford coupe on a 1935 Chevy cabriolet diecast. I obtained one of each. Someone else suggested modifying a '32 metal kit. I got one of those. Had built one years ago but it is long gone. An then there is the R&R resin kits assuming I can find some. I'm leaning hard on the resin kits. I'm open to suggestions.

I used to have the AMT D8 sitting on the same float hooked to a Kenworth conventional. I had swapped the Cummins for the V12 in the drag truck kit. It was on top of the piano at home 40 years ago.

Is the '64 GT Hawk resin body to retrofit the 53 Starliner still available? I believe it was made by a John Heyer. Or where would I post hoping to find one for sale?

I have a '67 Mustang convertible and a '34 Chevrolet 5 window coupe. I'd like models of both. The only model of a '67 Mustang convertible I have found is diecast and is available from time to time on eBay. I suppose I could paint one to look like mine. So far, I haven't found a '34 Chevrolet 5 window coupe. I have a couple of '35 Danbury mint convertibles and an AMT '34 Ford 5-window that someone suggested I get for the roof. I also saw a '34 3-window resin body on the internet. Those two would be my first projects. I also had a '64 Studebaler GT hawk. I understand someone named John Heyer or John Meyer made some resin bodies of that to fit on the '53 Stude coupe chassis. I wonder how hard to get that resin body would be. I have a 53 Starliner coupe I could modify.

Hi from Ontario. I built models as a kid.(Whatever my mom bought). Then I started again as a young adult. (Mostly trucks).Sold most of them about 30 years ago. Started again later.(Mostly vintage cars). Went to the full size cars for a while. Still have two. Now looking to replace my ex-cars with models. Too old & sore for the full size stuff. I might start a thread about my projects.
