  1. I was looking through all the tabs and drop menus to see what is there and better understand how things work. I came across the "Manage Attachments" topic in the settings area. It looks like once you have reached a certain amount of MB's you can't post anymore or you have to start deleting. Am I understanding this correctly? If that is correct then I suppose reducing the size of the attachment would allow for more or the alternative is deleting. Right? Is there a way to select the threads I want to follow?
  2. I think I still want one of those R & R bodies to get the shape of the windshield and rear window. Are they still in business? No answer to emails or phone.
  3. Tamas, nice job on the car and the photos. Is that the Duna in the background?
  4. Please describe how you did that interior.
  5. yes! Just love the paint. Hope to learn to paint like that some day.
  6. Now that is one wicked bug! Reminds me of a Porsche I saw the other day where the guy thought like you.
  7. About the Tamiya brush, the 64 dollar question: does it stay effective like that or do it's magic powers fade away? And thank you Mr.Jordan. They are mostly old cars because that is what I am into now. I had my truck phase as well. And before that I bought whatever was available. phase
  8. I thought I'd post some of my old builds here. But before I can do that they need some cleaning. They are on their second move without unpacking and are quite dusty.
  9. What are the new grills to be made of?
  10. Couldn't find any of my plastic so I measured the frame and x-member to order the right size. The Ford doors are 7/64" longer. Now this is where you guys come in. Do you think it would work if I sliced 7/64 off the roof to shorten it? Also the top of the door of the Chevy is curved. What would you guys do to make that fit. ? Fill in the blank with sheet plastic or shape the bottom of the Ford window?
  11. Hey Rick, what do you suggest I use for the boot? And the snap trim around the roof opening that the boot snaps to?
  12. Those are the Canadian version, my car and the fully grained dash.
  13. The reply window opens but the posting I'm quting doesn't appear as it does in my other forums.
  14. Is there a reason why the Quote function won't work for me? I click on the quote button when I want to respond directly to a particular post and nothing happens. I tried to copy & paste the post I want to respond to and nothing happens? Is it it mycomputer that's the culprit?
  15. Charlie8575, there are some subtle differences between Canadian and American cars that most people wouldn't notice unless looking at both at once. For example, the luggage racks, dash woodgraining and spare tire covers are different. But yes, you are correct in saying that they are pretty much the same.
  16. Hi Chris, there is a little of New Zealand in mine. The glove compartment door is from New Zealand. Bought on eBay.
  17. The URLs won't work so I took a few of his photos. I find them incredible.
  18. Let's try this: http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/f13/few-my-models-519331 Once in there, you should be able to see his other ones.
  19. Just a few minutes at the bench tonight. Removed the engine and the X-member. I think I can do the proper K-member. Now if only I could find my styrene!
  20. I thought I had deleted the post. First I was going to post a thread about a truck. Then I found he had several others, cars, bikes, tractors etc. So I thought I'd post the link to his gallery but it doesn't work. I'll see what I can do.
  21. Here's where I think I'll cut my first corner. The diecast's frame isn't anything like a '34 Master. However is it worth my while cutting it up and trying to fabricate the K member?
  22. I wasn't sure where to put this or if you are even allowed to do this. However, these are so unbelievably beautiful I had to share them. These aren't kits, they are made from scratch. Hope it works. http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/search.php?searched=1870660 .
  23. I started a bit today by first separating the chassis from the body on the diecast model. Then I cut the roof off the Ford model. I think, with some work I can achieve a plausible coupe.
