  1. Well desrved, Mr. Smith, Sir.?
  2. I checked your Daytona Coupe. That is impressive. Is your GT 350 a high end kit like that or one of the ordinary ones?
  3. So I dug out my boxful of old Nascar builds. there will be something suitable in there.
  4. If I ever start. I was laying out my first cut when I realized that chassis had nothing Nascar about it. I looked in the box and the only thing Nascar in there was the body. Then it came back. I had used that car to build my version of Bobby Isaac's #71.
  5. I have one built and one on the way from eBay. If I opt for the 348, I'll use the unbuilt one with only one carb.
  6. So, lo and behold, I have an extra '70 Boss 302. That one is in the right scale. There will still be some cutting and dicing required but it should prove feasible.
  7. I rarely do race cars but now is the time to do one. I built a replica of my Mustang convertible a few years ago using the innards of the AMT Mustang GT. I was going to combine the body with the chassis of Neil Bonnet's car to create some sort of road racer à la Trans-Am. That plan bit the dust early. They are different scales.
  8. The 348 is supposedly from a 1959 El Camino kit.
  9. This is what I ended up with.
  10. OK, here is the inspiration. The cab has been orderd from Flinstone. The engine will be either a 348 or a stovebolt straight 8 from Replicas and miniatures.
  11. Stovebolt straight 8. This engine never existed. It is a resin piece from Replicas and miniatures. It comes in stock and hopped up versions. This is the hopped up version.
  12. Very stisfying to achieve something like this. I have one too and I enjoy playing with it.
  13. Looks like a decision has been reached. I will attempt to duplicate (or imitate) this.
  14. I was comsidering cutting up the Car hauler body I have. Then again, I might sratch up something smaller to use with one of the old cabovers like a '41 Chevy .
  15. Beautiful work. Is the Jag kit still available?
  16. I agree.
  17. Same here.
  18. Absolutely!
  19. All he said and good luck!
  20. X2
  21. And so here it is in primer. I t will stay like this until I find out what truck it will sit on which will also dictate which color it will be.
