  1. Leo, I really appreciate your offer. I have thought of the copier method bc I have some Scale Motorsports Carbon Fiber decals (although not sure if the same pattern). I have never heard of the warm wash cloth method. I tried the heat gun method as I do with other CF decals and it didn't work with these. Right now I am still working on making these work before I totally give up. I have brushed multiple coats of Future to "bury" the wrinkles or stubborn areas, then like leveling paint when polishing, I am using 4000 grit sanding sheet, coating again, and repeating the process until the clear is level. It is slowly working I think.
  2. Hello all, Unfortunately, while building this kit and applying the carbon fiber roof decal, it failed to conform to the curves leaving wrinkles that couldn't be overcome. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who have built this kit without using this decal and would be willing to part with it? If so msg me. Thanks, Gil
  3. Bertrand!!!! That is killer. You did a fantastic job on this. I am glad to see it completed, and so clean.
  4. Both of your builds are terrific, and Mustangs too!!!! I don't know if you realize, but there is a separate category to post NASCAR builds
  5. Very Impressive! Everything is perfectly done.
  6. very nice
  7. I did this a looooong time ago. This is my local police dept rendition of a cruiser I was assigned to back in the 90's. I added an custom aftermarket light bar, texture to the front seats, made the back seat a one piece safety seat with restraint system, and home made decals from photos of the actual markings of the 1:1 car.
  8. Excellent effort. Looks like it is on the showroom floor. I love all you did with the engine compartment
  9. Nuts, just nuts! But the good kind. Lots to like about this.
  10. Very nice rendition and clean build. I always like the look of the base model wheels on these older cars.
  11. Thanks guys, and I am pleased to announce that my Buick took first place in my club's annual model show for the domestic/stock category. ?
  12. Thanks everyone
  13. Great job on a rarely seen subject as usual for you, Tom
  14. Now there is one you don't see every day, or ever...lol. Nice
  15. Thanks again, and Kyle, you are right about the front bumper and hood. One thing about this kit, all the detail is there but to tease it out and get it right was a challenge. Not bad for such an old kit. Really nice molded details. BTW, I rechromed the valve covers and rear bumper with sprayed Molotow ink. It really is amazing stuff.
  16. Thanks, and I have to add that if anyone builds this kit, I would advise using the "custom" rear suspension for a stock build like I did. The "stock" rear suspension is way to low. All wheels sit flat without adjustments
  17. This is the 1/24 scale original Monogram kit from 1989. It is painted in "scalefinishes" factory Saturn Yellow with decanted UPOL clear coat. I added some details from the Model Car Garage photo etch set in addition to door handles and tire decals from "Fireball Modelworks" Finally, I added plug wires and a PVC hose, and sourced some gauge decals from EBAY. Hope you like it.
  18. One of the best Revell kits I have ever built.
  19. Exceptional build. Very clean.
  20. Nicely done. I love the color
  21. Very nicely done. Unique color choice and thanks for the heads up on the build
  22. Thanks again! Much appreciated
  23. Thanks to all for all the nice feedback. This was a very interesting kit with all the body panels separate from the molded black shell. Everything fit well and the detail was top notch. A very well engineered kit of an unorthodox design. Oh yeah, the carbon fiber decal set was very good as well.
  24. Felt like more when I was young....lol
