Side comment on your pic: Cool! Funny, around 1982 when I was about 18, I test drove a gold '61 Olds Super 88 4-dr. HT that was for sale in my neighbourhood for $200. There was a little rust in the door corners and the engine stalled when you made a right-hand turn. I loved the car but that big 394 cu. in. Rocket V8 scared me when I thought of how much I would be spending on gas at 37 cents/litre [about US$1.00 per US gallon]. I do wish someone would reproduce these Jo-Han/X-El promos again!

Sorry...I thought it was all about 4 doors. I saw the original list and I saw a lot of 4-door hardtops in there. Even the factories still called their 4-door hardtops "sedans" (e.g., 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan). [Back in high school in the '70s, we differentiated the body type differences with the terms "hardtop" and "post", as in "2-door hardtop" and "2-door post".]

Always loved that instrument panel design on the 1:1 cars. Unique to '67. '68's were completely different.

Noticed that you're missing from your Oldsmobile list: 1956 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight DeLuxe Holiday Sedan, and 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire 98 Holiday Sedan. Both promos made by Jo-Han and later re-popped by X-El. I bought the X-El '57 by mail order circa-1990 (pictured) and I'm still wishing on the '56...

Those custom wheels have been reproduced for this new release. They were caller Reactor wheels, after the Gene Winfield custom car that sported them. AMT added them to the '49 Ford Coupe re-release around 1966 replacing the 1962 original custom spinner caps. The wheels continued in the 'Tijuana Border Police' kit and the 'Tournament of Thrills' kit. They were later replaced by the 5-spoke mags of the 1970s 'Street Rods' era.

How's that kit release doing? I'm still waitin'.
