  1. It is a modified AMT T600. I modified it according to Ken Smith’s Car Modeler instructions. The lengthened frame requires a longer faring than is available in the kit. Jaymar of Australia offers a lengthened faring, but when it arrived in the mail, it was crumbled. They were kind enough to send another made with better resin. The colors are based on an Indianapolis trucking company’s paint scheme. The cab over is base on a tractor I saw in a 1976 Overdrive magazine.
  2. These are N scale models. All brass and photo etched. They were made by: Neville C. Wilson Period Miniatures Prestige Model Productions
  3. The up side is this means that truck modeling is popular and there is a demand for truck models. Of course the model companies can feed this demand by making new tooling.
  4. Looks as if you spent a not so small fortune on after market items on this model. Did you strip the kit fuel and hydraulic tanks, sand the seams and spray them with Alclad? Was the rear cab panel the KFS aftermarket part? Looks like the Clint Freeman air breather kit. Excellent paint. Nice choices and execution.
  5. Rick posts periodically on some of the Yahoo Truck model forums. He is in the process of filling his back orders.
  6. ...and I might add, gold is only possible with the Alps MD5000. With the MD1300 meFirst Lieutenant Vernice Armourrinterstalic colors are possible but not gold or silver leaf. I have both.
  7. Bill Dreenan of Kansas made the masters for Clint's 379 extened hood. Masterful transkit I might add, along with the his KW900 long hood.
  8. Plaskit sells on Ebay now look him up under model kits, Resin.
  9. Does anyone know if someone offers credible 1/32nd scale 2 hole and 5 hole disc wheels?
  10. Does anyone remember this disappointment? I expected they would deliver an accurate reefer trailer. If they had offered an on point replica of a reefer trailer, I’m sure Italeri would have sold every last one they made and would have had to have another run just to keep up with demand. Instead, they keep trying to get ride of them in combined kits.
  11. This not the first time Italeri has done this. They promised this, ...and delivered this!
  12. Hey Matt, we met at the Hobby Town in Marietta, Georgia earlier this year and talk about truck models. Sorry to hear about your disability. Thanks for doing your part of keeping this hobby alive. I hope you get back in the game soon.
  13. The big one will be on my priority to do list.
  14. A sharp rig I plan on reproducing, eventually.
  15. Great, take all of your photos at these settings.
  16. Nice transfer dump. So the tarp does operate? P.S. Looks as if you have a better digital camera.
  17. I could see this thing hauling scrap out of Gary!
  18. Did you custom make the grill. You can see right thru it. Is it metal?
  19. I have a bunch of Clint Freeman stiuff, but not as much as want. I have a tag axle I can spare BUT, only if you can trade me a set of the Clint Freeman 1/24th scale two or five hole wheels.
  20. Excellent! A well worn AMT Fruehauf flatbed trailer would look nice with these tractors.
  21. Tim, what engine would be correct for thiis model?
  22. I purchased this Peterbilt 362 after market kit from Australia about 5 or 6 years ago. Combined with the Monogram 1/16th scale Peterbilt 359 it appears to build in to a good model. I will build it eventually. I also have three 1/16th scale engines. A Cummins NTC 350/400, Detroit Diesel 8V92N and a Caterpillar 3406 T/A. What is the proper engine for a prototype 362.
