  1. MRC has taken over the North American distribution of Italeri. In several weeks MRC will meet with Italeri at the New York Toy show. MRC has told me that they will discuss truck model kits with Italeri. I have composed a survey questioner to present to MRC concerning what North American truck modelers want as new kits. The survey is now active at Dan’s Model Truck World web site, the site that has taken over the Plastic Cowboy web site. MRC has shown to offer unusual model kits over the years and I think they are receptive to truck modeler’s needs. This may be the only chance for truck modelers to have an unobstructed ear to Italeri as far as US truck model kits. http://www.danmodeltruckworld.com/index.ph...t&Itemid=70 www.danmodeltruckworld.com
  2. I read somewhere that Timothy Sherman is planning to offer a Granite resin kit, but if you are in to 1/87th scale (HO) then Masterbilt offers a great Granite resin. Model made by New Jersey modeler, Joe Enriquez!
  3. How about a Vision, I'm kind of tired of reissues. This is 2007
  4. For those that are interested, a 1/16th scale Detroit Diesel engine model is on eBay. Better hurry! Ebay or search 1:16th 8V92N resin engine kit.
  5. It is a modified AMT T600. I modified it according to Ken Smith’s Car Modeler instructions. The lengthened frame requires a longer faring than is available in the kit. Jaymar of Australia offers a lengthened faring, but when it arrived in the mail, it was crumbled. They were kind enough to send another made with better resin. The colors are based on an Indianapolis trucking company’s paint scheme. The cab over is base on a tractor I saw in a 1976 Overdrive magazine.
  6. These are N scale models. All brass and photo etched. They were made by: Neville C. Wilson Period Miniatures Prestige Model Productions
  7. The up side is this means that truck modeling is popular and there is a demand for truck models. Of course the model companies can feed this demand by making new tooling.
  8. Looks as if you spent a not so small fortune on after market items on this model. Did you strip the kit fuel and hydraulic tanks, sand the seams and spray them with Alclad? Was the rear cab panel the KFS aftermarket part? Looks like the Clint Freeman air breather kit. Excellent paint. Nice choices and execution.
  9. Rick posts periodically on some of the Yahoo Truck model forums. He is in the process of filling his back orders.
  10. ...and I might add, gold is only possible with the Alps MD5000. With the MD1300 meFirst Lieutenant Vernice Armourrinterstalic colors are possible but not gold or silver leaf. I have both.
  11. Bill Dreenan of Kansas made the masters for Clint's 379 extened hood. Masterful transkit I might add, along with the his KW900 long hood.
  12. Plaskit sells on Ebay now look him up under model kits, Resin.
  13. Does anyone know if someone offers credible 1/32nd scale 2 hole and 5 hole disc wheels?
  14. Does anyone remember this disappointment? I expected they would deliver an accurate reefer trailer. If they had offered an on point replica of a reefer trailer, I’m sure Italeri would have sold every last one they made and would have had to have another run just to keep up with demand. Instead, they keep trying to get ride of them in combined kits.
  15. This not the first time Italeri has done this. They promised this, ...and delivered this!
  16. Hey Matt, we met at the Hobby Town in Marietta, Georgia earlier this year and talk about truck models. Sorry to hear about your disability. Thanks for doing your part of keeping this hobby alive. I hope you get back in the game soon.
  17. The big one will be on my priority to do list.
  18. A sharp rig I plan on reproducing, eventually.
  19. Great, take all of your photos at these settings.
