Thanks Bruce for looking in Just holding off on final blue paint Weather has been crappy and now back to work. Hopefully this weekend will pan out well for spraying. I also want to test out the 2k from Splash on something so I stated a Ducati Panigale.

Deviated from paint for a bit and did more engine work. Glossy black air boxes were installed. They have no purpose in the model...no hoses no hook up and look like mailboxes. Research shows these boxes are the air filter intakes for the turbos. So I made some pipes by bending a thick copper electrical wire coated with plastic. It was the best material for the job as aluminum broke, styrene would not take the complex curves and brass would not budge for me without huge dents in the tube. Bent the electrical wire to fit and added some black styrene tube to accept the pipe in the base of the ‘mailboxes’ a bit of detailing for hose clamps Installed Finished with some black mesh over the mailbox’s intake opening. Good morning’s worth of modelling

Pocher Testarossa Renovation & Completion
Twokidsnosleep replied to Twokidsnosleep's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Excellent That Testarossa transkit looks amazing, maybe I can get in on that I had contacted Autograph about an F40 transkit. They were sold out, but said could piece me together one...for $1500Cad. That is a bit much Hope I can find one of those someday for the F40, Autograph Kit was incredible. I have bought stuff from Scaledetails and agree with your assessment; hit and miss. I think my Testarossa has a Scaledetails engine kit in it, have to look. thanks for the replies and interest???- 58 replies

Pocher Testarossa Renovation & Completion
Twokidsnosleep replied to Twokidsnosleep's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Wow crazy nice Did you use a transkit?? The engine looks metal and much nicer and the metal rotors are spectacular The only a German I understood was “Kaput”? Ahh there were three pages. Spectacular finish. I am guessing you used a fine pigskin leather?? The grain on it looks similar to one I have You have done a fantastic job on the wiring and especially the plumbing and hoses. Those look amazing I did see the word Transkit in German, which one did you use? I am supposing that I am dragging me feet to finish all the POCHERS until I have the skills and tools to work like this. I would like to machine and lathe and 3D print, laser cut and etch...- 58 replies

Got the body started with seam removal and filler. The rear wing had a healthy seam/gap when cemented on so is well puttied up The rear clip is done and cemented in place lots of test fitting I am all over the place building this, making it in different sections to their completion so I can then put everything together. Hoping this focuses me better for more details and quality I also plastic bag the sections so I don’t mess with them too much, rub off paint or get them dusty

Very lovely La Ferrari I do have the Tamiya Mica Blue...will shoot some spoons and decide what to use I remember seeing a real 360 Spyder in blue Vancouver quite a while back now and it struck me how nice the lines of a Ferrari were in different colours

Rear shocks re vamped with better coils...kit shocks were pathetic. The moulded coil lines didn’t line up on the mould halves and were very shallow. It would have been really hard to paint (LHS shock is the before in first picture) Indexed things with a brass pin
