  1. Here's one taken at the show. I can dig out some others if you want? (That's my good lady Jean at the back. Her maiden name was Duncan.) steve

  14. Something I've never really understood is using 3 (or sometimes 6) carburetors on a V8 engine. Surely 2, 4 or even 8 would produce a more even fuel flow? Can anyone explain it, simply? cheers steve
  15. Fine work Comrade Tulio steve
  16. It was called "Razor edge" styling and was popular in the UK in 1950s. Triumph made a bigger 4 door saloon called a Renown at the same time as the Mayflower. The Mayflower was an sold as an upmarket small car but wasn't a great commercial success. steve
  17. Seen Ceres, Fife, Scotland last Saturday: It's a Triumph Mayflower from approx 1950. Not many left now! steve

  22. Mike G, There are two reasons that wouldn't happen: 1. It is illegal in the UK to take any roadkill that you have hit with your own vehicle. 2. I have been a vegetarian since 1977... steve
  23. Hitting a pheasant in my Saab 9-3 convertible and unfortunately for the bird it was terminal. The when I got home I found it had knocked the foglight out. (Luckily fixable though.) Spoiled the rest of the drive home though, It was great before, sunshine, top down and rock CDs on the player... steve
  24. Thanks Mike G! Is getting better now, hope yours is too! steve
