  1. This looks awesome. But I have to agree she's straight out of the "patch"! Bigger the better! will definitely be watching this one!!
  2. Thanks guys!! Can't wait to get home and start working on this project again!! Does anyone have good tips on carb detailing? I like how some of you get them so you can see down in carb. And where do I start as far as throttle linkage and fuel lines? Thanks for lookin guys and thank you again for the pics!! Much appreciated!!
  3. This is lookin good!! I would still use the scoop in the moc up looks good. But then that's my opinion.
  4. This is going to be a good build!! And that hood scoop will look good as well!
  5. Lol thanks for lookin guys!! I'll see how the stance looks when I get back from work. Hopefully what I have done will work out and give me what I'm looking for. Never done this with a build before so I'm anxious to get building again. Looking at some great models on here and have a few ideas of things I'd like to try. Like carb detailing and fuel lines all the little stuff that makes a difference. I'm a carpenter not a wrench guy. So I have no idea where to start. Any input on "how to" is more than welcome. And again thanks for taking an interest and lookin!!
  6. Sorry guys haven't really been home to work on the car... would you have a picture of the finished result you could post? Thanks for lookin!!!
  7. This looks wild!! Will be watching this as I have a 41 pickup that I'm not happy with and would love to chop up!! Keep it going!!
  8. Lots of good parts in this kit. Would love to have a few more kickin around. Thanks for lookin!!

  11. That oilfield bed truck is going to be sweet!! I just saw a sweet one today!! I'm 6 feet tall and the roller on the deck was at eye level!!! With a 2 front axels and 3 in the rear!!
  12. Hi guys! I like to use hockey stick tape for seat belts. It comes in different colours and can be painted as well.
  13. Thanks for all the help guys! This is what I've tried out before I've traveled for work. I grabbed my files and filed down where the leaf spring mounts on the frame. I'll mock it up and see how it looks. If I need more then lol this car will also be scary and unsafe!!!
  14. Thank you Foxer!! Your tip on rear leaf suspensions will be most helpful as I just faced this problem with my dodge dart.
  15. Hey there Luis this is what I found on the front end. Hope it helps. modeltech.tripod.com/lower1.htm
  16. Hi guys!! This will be my first build as a member. Thanks again for the welcomes guys! I just got this kit a couple days ago started sanding the body and removing some lines here and there. Then before I knew it I was painting the engine. I have decided I want this model a little lower than stock and since I have never done it before I'm open to all suggestions. What to do how to do it and what to look out for. I was googling around and managed to get the front end where I like it. I just cut the spindles that hold the wheel on and just like that raised them up. Now the rear end with leaf springs is where I'm kinda scratching my head!!
  17. Thanks guys!! And dumpy dan I'm from grande prairie
  18. Whoops should have read the entire post... Very sorry to hear about your house... Glad to hear everyone is ok!
  19. This is gonna be a nice build!! Hope you don't mind a newbie following along... I have yet to "lower" my models and am very curious to see how it's done!

  21. Hey guys I'm new on here! Name is Justin Schurman from Alberta canada. I've used a lot of your pics and builds for ideas and help along some of mine. Lots of great stuff on here and wanted to be part of the community and I hope to learn a lot more!! I was in the hobby when I was younger and recently just got back into modeling for about a year. Here are some of my builds so far.
