  12. thank you jim, but those fenders go to another build. they were handy. ;-)) I very seldom use paint straight from the bottle. for instance this engine should be white, made it cream to add interest and make it look more pleasing. it will look straight white against the colors around it. same for fog lamps, mixed outlined in steel.
  13. I'd like to thank all for showing an interest and being polite. some of my statements my come across rude, they're not meant to be. only trying to be helpful, I'd rather just post a picture and not say anything.
  14. a set but not a pair, before they were fixed
  15. use krylon also but without primer. primer sand primer sand. I don't want a rough surface. properly used paint you shouldn't need it. unless you are controlling the hue of a candy or metallic. primering and sanding destroys details. trust me there isn't close to a hundred dollars in any model posted. you may want to look at that rim above just a little more closely. when you see the difference you will understand why I'm posting. pictures don't lie and speak for themselves. thanx for your interest and keep building JT.
  16. thank you all for looking, maybe it's just the orange jt. to keep it simple I'll just keep adding to this article. keep building all, this has got to be one of the best hobbies. ;-))
  17. have used testors products all these years. concentrate on refining the kits. no airbrush, no primer just part prep. the more you spray something the better the chances of something going wrong. my experience anyway for what it's worth. ;-))
  18. tires fixed, kit rims fixed and fuel tanks enlarged.
  19. tires fixed, steps in fixing kit rims and fuel tanks enlarged.
