Nice work! That blue with white interior was a great choice! -
Really like the color! What color is it?

Very nice build!

Actually we are both right! How often does that happen?LOL..I was just on Early Years Resin and those are the Plastic Performance tires. Those were the only tires I could find on their site.So glad you posted these pics because I've been eyeing those tires up but wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for.But by the looks of your Skylark they definitely are!May have to get 2 sets since I didn't glue the wheels and tires on my Skylark!

Although this kit lacked detail it ended up being really fun to build.Mostly because of the story behind the paint scheme.I used to play pitcrew on a Monte Carlo street stock and after running the same colors for 3 years we decided it was time for a change. As we are all standing around the race shop the car owner says I always wanted to paint one of my racecars burnt orange. We all laughed and said no way.We did throw him a bone and paint the chasis orange with a black body.So when I saw the Testers One Coat Laquer Flaming Orange I couldn't resist pulling this stocker out of the closet.Even put the correct number on.When I finished this kit back in April I stopped by the race shop and when I pulled it out Frank(car owner) laughs and says "See I told you guys it would have looked good!It was a fun build and an even better laugh in the race shop!

Very nice!Which kit is that and did the wheels and tires come with the kit?I don't have many coupes in my collection and would like to get a few. -
You nailed it!One of my favorite builds I've seen! That stance just looks mean!

Thanks everyone!Yes Bob this is the old MPC Chevelle!I bought this kit probably over 25 yrs ago.Dave and Dan yes this MPC kit was a pretty crapy kit.Never cared much for mpc but my brother had this and I always liked it so I just had to have it!But for as crapy as it was it still looks good when finished.Gene the yellow is decals that came with the kit.
