  1. That's cheap.... Earlier this year Mecum also sold a '71 Hemi 'cuda Convertible for $3.5 Million....
  2. So is this a Thomas The Tank forum now?? Just wondering....
  3. We did it!! My 8 yo son and I did it!! WIP pics https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.787144981400287.1073741830.100003143771349&type=1&l=3deb0db54d Thanks guys wow!! You Brazilian guys start young!! I think your son will be better builder than you soon?! Lol! Great work, both of you ??
  4. Man it looks like that 'Bird can fly!! Awesome detailing & GYC paint!! you should make a 1:64 Hot Wheels version ??
  5. You know what Harry? I think that's a good idea. Just ban GL builds/topics altogether. The debates & arguments that it causes, EVERY SINGLE TIME, just isn't worth your time policing, specifically because it's not a paid job, being the only moderator here. Not worth the trouble & BS. If I were you I'd ban everything GL related... & I'm just as big a fan of the DOH as the next guy.
  6. Probably because I can face reality... Like the majority of modellers... Whatever the kit manufacturers put out, if it interests us we'll buy it, if not then we won't... Sooner or later they'll either go broke or make more profit for more "new" kits. The ones that do ( manufacturers ) make a profit are doing so because they're producing the kits the majority want ? If just 1 of the big 3 Japanese makers decided & produced 1 American muscle car ( not a re-issue of any type, but a completely new tooling etc ) & did it to their standards & got it out there ASAP, it would, hopefully, make Revell ( USA ) & AMT/Rd 2, sit up & take notice, maybe even get them off their arse to start cranking out kits we all want, variety included ???
  7. This is a public forum, no? It's a 2-way Street... If Greg's allowed to have an opinion, then why aren't the rest of us? And if you think kit manufacturers are popping in from time to time on forums... While that MAY be true, like once a year, then where are all the kits that Greg & the like speak of?? Or were you just referring to the "American" manufacturers??
  8. What i'd like to ask, Greg, is what makes you think every modeller across this big wide World likes everything you like? Or wants what you want kitted, kitted? Or has the same interests as you? You sure do post a lot of Why don't *revell/AMT etc make this/that & the other...? Are there not enough kits/subjects out there at the moment to fill up your free/spare/leisure time?? I'm curious?? Because every thread you've started regarding these topics ( new/reissues etc ) I have absolutely NO interest in whatsoever... & I doubt if I'm the only one....
  9. Here's a tip... Don't USE it! There are so many more options & won't give you the problems your having with this Vallejo stuff....
  10. Pretty sure there's another thread that's basically the same question... How much have you spent on the hobby... ? Is it really necessary anyway? It's a hobby, it's something we like/love to so... Money & how much we spend or have invested in it really doesn't matter, whether we want to insure everything or not... Just my opinion. ?
  11. Why don't you just fill it in with a good quality putty? Seems like common sense to me if you're not going to cut out the "cut-out".... ?
  12. Revel's Uptown Charger kit is different to Lindberg's & Testors Charger kit ( SRT8 Superbee ) If you have the Lindberg/Testors kit... How about you open it up & see if the parts from that kit fit your resin body... Might be an idea ?
  13. Well if they were "used" Ferraris & heading to a dealer or auction, why not?? ???
  14. I have a plan... I have the transporter ... I have the cars that will fill the transporter .... But they're not Blue Ovals or GMs... ?
  15. Looks nothing like the '71/72 Torinos..... ? Yeh.... Ok... ?
  16. Here's a little fun video you guys might like to watch... Lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gHO1PprfmkY
  17. I don't believe the question the OP asked was, How many of YOUR dream cars could you buy INSTEAD of MY dream ride...? & then failing to actually add what your dream ride is?? ? Having said that, I'll have an Audi RS6 Avante, a numbers matching 68 or 69 426 Hemi R/T Charger, a Challenger Hellcat & Joe Rogan's 70 Cuda " Sick-Fish" ??? PS: What's this "prolly" rubbish you speak of?? Do you speak Generation Y semi-English? Pigeon English maybe??
  18. It's a Ford Falcon XC.... Mad Max's Interceptor was based off this platform ( think MM Interceptor was an XA... ?) doesn't matter anyway... XA/XB or XC ... Bodies are all the same... ?
  19. While I have these kits in my stash, I have yet to start building them, though I have seen on various different forums, wonderful & excellent builds of them, probably because they're Tamiya, Fujimi & Aoshima offerings... Tamiya's La Ferrari & Enzo. Fujimi's Lamborghini Veneno & Aoshima's Lamborghini Aventador Roadster ( which I have on the bench ). Another I have built, without too much of a problem/hassle is Revell's Dodge Siderwinder - a prototype Ram Roadster. That was pretty basic, ( parts wise ), but with time & patience can be made into quite a nice looking kit ?? The only drama I had was with Aoshima's Aventador Roadster. It is very fragile, particularly because once all the sprues holding the frame together are cut off/away, in order to paint the body, the bottom of the sill is the only section holding the body together & even with careful attention NOT to have it snap off, it can & it did.. Leaving the body in 2 parts... ?? I believe I wasn't the only one it happened to. It can be fixed, with some liquid cement ( better this than superglue, because the superglue doesn't actually bond the plastic back together, whereas the liquid cement, over enough time, will.
  20. Guess it's a good time to be ( or have ) a DOH/GL collector? I'm keen to see what this 1 goes for, as I've got it as well as the Black GL & many others listed on there.... ? http://m.ebay.com/itm/281737637289?nav=SEARCH
  21. I agree with b-body... If u use Createx paints... Use their thinner/cleaner... It's always good to use the same manufacturers products, thus lowering chances of stuff-ups with different brands ???
  22. I have to agree. Just purchased a few of their colours, sealer & reducer, for a current project. So far so good. As stated above... Very easy to use, smooth lay-down & no really toxic type fumes ???
  23. I'm with you Jutt... Give it a shot... It IS just a model... If you stuff it up... Try again ? Best/easiest way to replicate the grill... Cut out the entire centre section & replace it with ( scale ) mesh ?... You can get the mesh on-line from just about any good on-line hobby retailer ( try bnamodelworld.com ) ??
