  1. Pictures are here https://www.thejunkmanadv.com/the-junk-mans-blog/structo-telephone-repair-truck This will be handed down a 3rd time to my son for play. It was in pretty tough shape after me and my Dad played with it. I have more coming in the future!
  2. This really is a nice kit. I used it a while back for a build I did.
  3. Nice start, highly detailed. This kit goes together very well overall. I used the same kit on my Kenworth W900 build seen here
  4. I like the missing headlight bezel and broken headlights. Really adds to the authenticity to the project. I like extreme weathered builds like this.
  5. Ok, here are a ton of "good" pictures. 1/64th scale (hot wheels) Datsun 620 pickup, weathered, rusted. Shown "drifting" in this small diorama. I am capturing a memory from my youth in this little project.
  6. I like it. I have this same kit to build, only I have a VERY different direction I want to go with it. Can you link your build thread?
  7. Part 4, and its finished! I will post glamour shots of the finished project in a following post. Here is how I got it done. Crappy screen shot, better pics coming
  8. Honestly these are the builds I like the most. Art imitating life. Junked, or heavily used trucks add some dimension and interest. They are like telling a story with no words. It makes me want to get motivated to build a Ford two story falcon that we used on the farm before the W900. It is sitting in similar condition out in the pasture.
  9. Trying something different. I am building this diorama live over a few nights on my Youtube channel. Each stream will be archived for futures viewers. I am just wining it.
  10. Really nice! I was at the Lambrecht Chevy auction
  11. That slightly larger scale Winnabago adds a bit of forced perspective when viewed from that angle. I think it works to your advantage. I can't say I would change or do much other than dirty that blue Dodge's pickup bed a little bit.
  12. Thanks. The sleeper was a challenge to get the contours right.
  13. I am glad I followed this and saw all the progress before the Photobucket-Apocalypse. Pay $399 a year to have your pictures show up on forums (3rd party hosting is now the top tier paid plan) Anyways, keep it up! Love the movie and love the build.
  14. Really that is the only "unique" feature of the GM L44 in the Fiero is the red valve covers and the unique intake manifold.
  15. As a sort of collector of Fiero's (I have one for each year and engine/trans combo) I have always eyed these kits, but they don't come cheap. Need some reference pictures? All finished and put back together My first one
  16. The garage Charger is widely known as a mock up. Look at the spark plug wires they run to the rear where as they should run to the front and even in this low angle shot you should be able to see the top of the distributor that leans to the right (looking head on). So either the engine was installed backwards, with the blower flipped, OR the distributor is removed and wires routed neatly rearward for close up shots for a cleaner look.
  17. I know I am in a little lake but here is a 2016 build. I work on so much other non-model projects its hard to get more than one done in a year for me. I commend those that get multiples done in a year. In the field
  18. Thanks. It ended up being a fun project despite the frustrating detail work with the fitment of the parts. I have another project coming up in a similar vein to this only it will be in the model car (well its a pickup) section as it is not a "big rig" but it will be heavily weathered and set in a display of sorts to tell a story.
  19. Original build thread here. Tons of pictures HERE, lots of close ups. Too many to post here. Again this will be a gift for my Dad, since it is replicating his other truck.
  20. Liking this project! It makes me want to try and build my FWD with SnoGo blower seen here. But I don't know if I have the skill for this.
