  1. I'm currently working on the Revell GT350H kit, and found a car online, that I would like to try and replicate the front valance. Question is, would modifying the front valance of the Revell kit, or graft the AMT GT350 front valance to the Revell kit? I know both will require a lot of work, just which one would be less of a PITA. Thanks, Trevor
  2. Probably both.
  3. Having not worked with P.E. before, is it necessary to use Self Etching Primer? Thanks, Trevor
  4. Very true...waiting for it to arrive.
  5. I´ve read on instructions that the 701 silver base is a must for the 700 series Candy Colors. Is it really, or would any silver base work? Thanks, Trevor
  6. Understood. I primed it, to better show the flaws for photo purposes.
  7. Working on a '68 Revell Dodge Charger R/T 3'N1. I've got two kits, one going to be with the 440, the other the 426 Hemi. Typical sink marks on the radiator core support, underside of the hood, and various other parts. Both kits. I'm good as far as sanding or filling those. However....the body is another story. Shot in grey primer to bring the ugly areas out. What is the best way to fix the areas that need work? Thanks, Trevor
  8. Lacquer, Enamel, Acrylic (LEA) Any other way, your looking for disaster.

  10. Does anyone know the wheel size on the Fujimi Porsche Cayman? (17,18 inch?) What is the formula for determining wheel sizes on 1/24th and 1/25 scale cars? Thanks, Trevor
  11. Completely agree. Especially on the last sentence.
  12. Jonathan, Thanks, Different styles. I'm looking for 17" and 19". Found what I wanted.
  13. I'm curious, do Fujimi, Aoshima, or ? make the same wheel, but different sizes? (1/24 Volk Racing RE30 19 Inch) for example. I'd like 17" and 19" for a couple of pro-touring builds. Thanks, Trevor
  14. I'm curious what is the best way to remove (shave) the drip rails, also to get a nice smooth transition? Thanks, Trevor
  15. No problem Terry.
  16. ZAP Z-7 De-bonder. Does not effect plastic
  17. For sealer, Zinsser-Bin may be a good option. After a coat of primer. You'll have to wet sand it, as it may have a little texture. http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/zinsser/primer-sealers/b-i-n-shellac-base-primer
  18. Looks good. Trevor
  19. This may or may not work. What about a skim coat of 3M glazing and spot putty, Then sanding with 800 grit and higher? Trevor
  20. Thanks all that replied.
  21. Didn't want to hijack the other thread about polishing plastic. So, my question is..what's best for polishing clear plastic? Trevor
