Hey John I love the way you come at us "Sideways" with these "Outta the box" builds. With all your imagination and detailing skills, you remind us there are so many fun way's to look at this hobby and have a different slant on how to approach it - which to me is very cooool The imagination thing is a big deal to me too - kinda fun to what-iffin' a project. Don't alway's turn out, but sure is fun to try. As far as "Inspiration" goes, you and several other's keep me inspired and motivated to do the things I love, and maybe build some of your idea's into my stuff - USING WHOLE WHEELS . Pretty coool to me:P. Keep on doin' what ya love - dave

Well I got 'er painted today . Gotta leave it sit over-night before I add the black "HEMI" graphics tomorrow, and then do some clear coating. Lot's left to do, but nice to get some color on and see how she looks. Fine to me. Anyhow, thought I'd share some pic's as I'll be too busy for the next few days to do anymore posting. -
Hey , I love the "Caddy" The Peterbilt with the Allison should be "Wicked" . Look forward to seeing more of that one. Been wantin' to do a 18 wheeler for years, so be fun to watch what you do with yours. All the best for the NNL - dave

E St. Kruiser50 replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Hey No not a die-cast. Latest Revell hardtop, turned into a 'vert. Yup, done some die-cast modifying too. Some real nice stuff out there, that's not ever been done in plastic. Putty is putty, and glue is glue. It's all the same, but just a little different have fun - dave -
Lookin very fine Mike This'll be fun to watch as you progress. Love the color fade. Great job. Keep posting more pic's for us on the finishing details. Thanks for sharing - dave

Hi all This seems to be the year to crank out some old idea's that have been "Smoldering" for awhile in the back of my ol' thinker Spent two days gettin' this 'ol girl shaped up and primered, ready for the next step. There'll be a stretched '05 Vette chassis with all the 'Vette running gear, a stretched '05 four seat Corvette interior, and a flip forward hood, late "Vette" style. FUN Got a couple of real nice '55 diecast's that I parted out, with some beautiful trim and emblems that will help the appeal hopefully on this - if I do it right Rounded the top of the front fenders and door's from the headlight's to the "Dip" behind the doors ala Chezoom, to get rid of that "flat look", and fit in with the 'Vette windshield. I also lowered the front of the hood to put it on a bit of a rake to match the fender shape and make the appearance a little "Swoopy" - I Love the swoopy Got some other things to finish before I move on with this one though. Got enough stuff goin' here already on the forum, so later in the year I will get back to this. Just wanted to share it and get some feedback. Any comment's appreciated. Here's some pic's.

Been usin' Testors Window Tint for years with great results. It has to be sprayed on "very lightly", in several coats. If you mess up it can be removed with alcohol, and simply re-spray. Use old scrap clear pieces as samples. It'll take a little practice, but it'll work. Here's a pic of my latest with a tinted window. Good luck - dave

This is the kinda pic that get's my "Juices Flowin" . Got a little primer on and it really blends everything, and brings it all together It's amazing how just the right small changes can affect the entire look of a car. Will probably paint it in a few days, and then start some fun detailing . -

Thanks guy's Got one more new project to start for a 3rd annual inter-club challange between our club and a club in Eugene. Two different cars to choose from - the Revell '32 Sedan, and the Revell '55 Chev. Takes several kit's for my choice, so I'll pick up the one I ordered through my LHS, and then I can start "Whackin" an "Choppin" on a '55 "Shoo-box Sport Roadster" - Oh Yeah!! It'll take several Vette kits for the windshield, some stretchin', and other mods. Later everyone - dave -

Got some "Serious Putty" laid down, the last few times at the bench. Not much left of the '69 body left as you can see in the pic. Added the other piece for the '69 exhaust to the '05 body, and have smoothed on some "Mojo Putty" , and the 'ol girl is ready for some sanding and primer. Can't wait to put on the color, and add some fun detailing. Man this is fun!!
