  1. WOW!!! Be careful what you wish for, HUH??? I'll bet Jason Line and Greg Anderson are having hissy fits over that news. In the meanwhile, other teams will look at this as a wonderful opportunity to innovate. What a unique cconcept. Approach change with a positive attitude and anything is possible. Can't wait for the show tonite. Sweet.
  2. This is exactly what I was hoping for. An intelligent discussion of how to improve the sport that, most of us, love so well and for so long. I wouldn't have a problem with Pro Stock taking a back seat either as they are the largest whiners about downforce and track conditions. I suppose we could settle for adding Pro Mod and having it split coverage with P/S and PSB. That would leave plenty of time for the Top Fuel contingent. At the track, I would change the lineup to T/F, F/C, Pro Mod, Pro Stock and PSB for eliminations, maintaining the field reversal for the final round as long as it's logistically sound. Nice talk you guys.
  3. This is not to start a firestorm from Pro Stock motorcycle lovers. I would be asking this regardless of what class of vehicle occupies the spot they are in now. Having said that, here's the question. Would the NHRA and the fans of all things drag racing, be better served by the bikes being replaced by Pro Mod? My main reasons for suggesting this are twofold. First, they are more exciting. Period. Second, it would be easier for them to procure sponsorship with the additional coverage. I know it would hurt the bikers and I wish no one ill will. But sacrifices have been made before for the greater good. ESPN could still do highlights of qualifying and competition instead of a mind numbing side piece about a clutch set up or fuel management. We can Google that. DISCUSS (Ducks and runs for cover)
  4. I don't want to take this off track Mike, but I do have a question because I don't know. Are rear engine funny's illegal or are they just not legal? Even if they were illegal, would that prevent Force or Schumacher or anyone else with bottomless pockets from building and testing one? That would certainly shake up things in the good OLD NHRA.
  5. Better and better Mr. Tim. I dying to see what the final front and rear treatments will be. The Henry can wait. This is more my style, but then again, I'm just a wee bit biased towards funnies in general. Or in this context, should it be funny's? NVM. I often get confused and take other people down with me when I do. Edit: Just looked at your Fotki page. Have you considered doing this rear engine, like the one you started? I'm surprised modern funny's (funnies?) haven't given it a try with all of the new technology available to diagnose bugs in performance. At least they aren't blowing as many motors as they used to last year.
  6. Heeeeey Buddy Bud Bud !! I think we both need a solid kick in the butt. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed at the amount of STUFF I need to do to make this joint liveable. No work on the hobby room, but I did do some weeding and trimming and shot weed killer everywhere. Tomorrow I shoot bug spray, then pull the weeds the weed killer killdeded. Killerated? Then I'm pulling down spider webs and cleaning the outside windows. When did you and John say you wanted to come over? Bring your swimming trunks and work gloves. Oh yeah, what is this twin thing you speak of? I saw you mention a hint once before. Speaking of somebody that needs a kick in the butt!!??!! Wassup Bro? I'm having a great time with all of this. I guess you could say I'm finishing a 1:1 model of Casa Zilla. Temps are still in the 100's here guys. Plenty of time.
  7. Swamp Rats !!!!! I got 7. Now I have to justify that by saying my score was 64% and average was 41%. I'll settle for above average. lol
  8. I love to watch a hack and slash kitbash happen at the hands of a master. The attention to detail is already obvious, especially on the rear quarter windows. Very nice Curt.
  9. Michael, luckily for me, I'm unencumbered by the requirement to be responsible for someone elses happiness. In other words, I'm single so the whole house is a sanctuary. Brother Tim, I thought everyone came here for my sparkling personality and charming wit. What other possible reason could there be for such a devoted fan club?
  10. Awwwww man, not another For....... Dude, what a great idea. And a Funny Car at that. Well, at least you got one thing right. I love the way the roof is blending in, (cough Hemi cough) and the way you did the valances, (cough 426 cough) is really sweet. Let me know if you need any advice on how to power this (cough Elephant cough) bad boy.
  11. Yup Michael, it's a new house. I've gone from a one bed apartment to a 3 bed house I bought using my VA benefits. The hobby room was designated as a Family Room. The cabinet between the shelves is for paint bomb storage and the black desk with the table next to it are for paint mixing and a downdraft airbrush station. It will vent to the side of the house. I might even partition it off from the rest of the room by placing a wall to the left of the desk, the width of the patio sliding door. That could work. The big tools, lathe, etc., will come later when I convert one room into a woodshop / engineering headquarters. No A/C in the garage, but I'm seriously considering installing a vent from the hobby room to the garage. Here's the kitchen.
  12. The hobby room furniture is in it's final configuration and I am one Jazzed Little Minion. Actually, it was a little Minion named Jazz that suggested putting the toolbox next to the build desk. Now I can start unpacking. Major Wootage Y'all. I think I see space for another model or two........
  13. Hey y'all, thanks for peekin' in. Danno, I did have a doppelganger, but I had to kill him 'cuz he was lookin' at my women. I'm the only one left. As far as my new handle, it doesn't make a diff to me. So I have to re-attain Ohana status. I told the waitress at IHOP that I was an Ohana and she still made me pay for my meal. Mmmmmm, Minion shaped omelettes. Funny thing. Spent four days lining kitchen shelves and drawers. Finally got a rolling toolbox and guess what? Nekkid drawers!!!!!! On to the next project. Laterz.
  14. I tried everything I could, including an email requesting help that went unanswered, when I couldn't log in with my previous account. So, Nitrozilla is dead, long live Nytrozilla. On the other hand, if somebody knows how I can reactivate my old username and password, as Spock would say, I'm all ears. I wanted to poke my head in and say "HI" to everybody. As far as I know, nothing will change on this thread as far as what I'll be posting. I'll continue giving updates on the Hobby Room until it's back in production and I can get back to work on the build. Until then, here's a couple of progress pics. No changes on the right. On the left, the shelves and cabinet are in place, as is the photography table. I even managed to unpack a box or five.
