  1. Wow, a built Airfix Merak! Probably rarer than the real car. Great job!
  2. Those are jewels Plowboy. Beautiful!
  3. My favorite scratch built 1/32 scale slot cars.
  4. Yes, a very quick Martian. Two drivers have taken a turn at the wheel; the Martian, and this guy. The Terminator was a little bit slower due to all that heavy metal.
  5. Awesome job, brings back happy memories!

Nice job, love to see these customized projects.
  7. Yes, one these days I should take some video of me crashing slot cars. 😄 Until then, here it is being broken in on the track. I ran several 1-mile time trials and am happy to say that it runs very well.
  8. Thanks for looking folks. I'm pleased to say that it runs great on the track, very smooth, quick and stable.

    That's nice, great subject.
  10. What a beautiful result! Superb fit and finish.
  11. Thanks for looking folks. Here's the starting point - the vintage Monogram vintage slot car parts and the vintage Airfix body. All the other parts were made from scrap materials.
  12. 1/32 Airfix body on a Monogram slot car chassis
  13. Thanks Phil, glad you like the setting. These pics made me think of the old Pre-War British circuits like Brooklands, which is where this car ran back in the day.
  14. Thank you Gramps. It was a challenge to make the parts but it was an enjoyable project. Matt
  15. 1/32 scale slot car model of the 1938 ERA E-Type GP1 Grand Prix car. Mixed media construction.
  16. Hello. It's my good fortune to re-discover this forum. I've been building model cars off and on for a while. Lately I've been building slot cars. My focus in the slot car hobby leans towards building and modeling, as opposed to racing, so this site has a lot of content relevant to my interests. Thanks to the forum for sticking around online. Matt
