  1. Those Airfix kits would be appropriate for a young builder. If they've played with Legos they shouldn't have any trouble building these cars. The most difficult step is getting the sticker where they belong. Most of the Revell snap kits are good - 57 Chevy, 34 Ford, PT Cruiser, new Beetle, etc. JIM
  2. I watched several of my grandsons build those PT Cruiser kits when they first came out and they didn't experience any of the problems you mentioned. The only problem encountered was having to enlarge the holes in the wheels to insert the metal axles.
  3. 226 arrived today in central Indiana. JIM
  4. Arrived in central Indiana today. As others have said its a great issue. I'm glad to see them hanging in there through adversity. JIM
  5. That first chrome tree looks like it came from an MPC '32 Ford Switchers kit. That chopped T looks like an AMT piece. JIM

  7. Thanks for the link Charles. As I suspected the Cord had been converted to RWD. I have a resin Cord sedan body. I wonder if anyone offers a 292 Jimmy with a Howard head, either resin or 3D. JIM
  8. Don Montgomery was mentioned in several posts in this thread. In 1953 and 53 he competed at the dry lakes in a Cord. In 52 it was powered by a Buick Straight and in 53 by a GMC 6. Does anyone have any knowledge about this car? Was it converted to rear wheel driver or did it use the Cord's front wheel drive system. JIM
  9. Looking for more info? Here's a copy of the flyer. JIM

  14. Since the Testors Model Master paint line has gone away, what do you guys use on Pontiac engines? Has anyone used Duplicolor DE1616? JIM
  15. Dave, 27 is a Model T (last year). AMT has the tooling for a 32 phaeton. JIM
