Crew cab dually w/Ranger bass boat
Flynlo replied to Flynlo's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks for the compliments! The grill is from the 454 SS kit. Left it in black plastic and painted the lights, BMF for the trim. This generation Chevy has a different appearance between the parking lights and turn signals. To suggest this I use straight turn signal amber on the vertically stacked lights and mix it with a little chrome silver on the larger horizontal light. BMF applied to the lights first to enhance the transluscent look. The mirrors (and wheels/tires) are from the Monogram Ford Dually. The rear bumper is resin covered in BMF. -

thanks all for the compliments! I actually built two of theses side by side. The second was a given as a memorial to Allen Kulwicki.

Love it! Super clean and realistic build! -
While sponsoring Kyle Petty, Mellow Yellow gave away a civilian Hummer. They also briefly considered campaigning a Hummer in NASCAR. The TOW missile launcher would definitely open a hole for passing...or serve as a deterrent to passing...but alas, on all but the shortest tracks. the aerodynamic equivalent of a 3 story outhouse just could not be competitive. Some thought was given to running the body backwards for reduced drag but instead, when the ATF started inquiring about the TOW missile purchases, the project was cut up for scrap.

Thanks for the tip but after multiple attempts with two different web browsers and same result I'm done posting until I can figure it out. Using the exact same process as my posts last week but they worked fine...last two ended up like this, .to paraphrase: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again (on a computer) and expecting the same result!" Update: to post from Photobucket I am now having to post the URL into BOTH the "URL" and "Link Text" boxes

I work on and maintain vintage aircraft for fun. Even though I have an A& P license this is not how I make my living. I specialize in WACOs, 1936 custom Cabins specifically. I have one of these as a restoration project. Told the wife it was a 10 year project...thank God that I didn't tell her from when! http:// 1936 Waco ZQC-6 Custom Cabin - art deco cool and if you get cold, just roll up the windows and turn on the cabin heat! WACOs.

Plenty of room Charles and it is kind of bare back there. I intended to build a pair of boots to put on the rear step but never got around to it.
