  1. that is a cool shirt ! happy birthday sir !
  2. yes it certainly is cool ! it also needs a lot of work ! I figure it is a early to mid 70's as it has the long wiper arms (1970) and the front intake (1971). I wish the amt sd kit would be reissued so I could build a replica of this one.
  3. this old girl is sitting in a lot in south Portland maine around the corner from where I work. I pass by this lot twice daily to and from work. the other day I noticed that it was put out by the road. I figure its up for sale or its going to the bone yard. this morning on my way in to work I decided to stop and take these pics. I last saw this truck a couple of years ago in the back part of the lot. you could see it from the road until all the storage containers went in. I seem to remember that it had a red ball express sign on the passenger door but when I took these pics I couldn't see the sign anymore. boy would I love to snag this truck as old freightshakers are my favorite. it's cummins powered , check out the custom exhaust !

  12. thanks sean ! what started out as a simple work truck ended up being my first custom. didn't know what I was getting myself into but I like the way it's turning out .
  13. hey all, made some progress on this one, been sitting too long should finish it. I got work done on the interior, I used the side door grab handles, the clutch pedal, and the lower dash center with the heater and ashtray from the revel Germany kit to try to spruce things up a little bit. since it's a custom I left the dash in bare metal foil. I painted the steering wheel red and after it dries will install. painted the fuel tanks, I didn't want plated tanks on this truck so I used the kw coe aerodyne tanks I had in the parts box and made the brackets by cutting them off the snap kits tanks. I cut out the tanks ends and will install plated ends from the Louisville short hauler kit. that's it for now.

    62 Catalina SD

built back when released, box stock except modelhaus tires and wheels. I painted the body red and was unhappy with it and I sprayed pearl clear over the red and this is the result. not my favorite color but didn't feel like repainting it.
  15. used kit parts except the tires and wheels which came from the amt 62 catalina kit. I dropped it in the weeds as low as I could. amt kit. thanks for looking.
