  1. Super attractive colour schemes!
  2. Thanks a lot, I am glad that you think that the result looks realistic! I also built the backhoe loader, but in my opinion the tractor model is a bit more attractive.
  3. Here and in your other topics are some excellent paint schemes. My favourite is the Kenworth COE on the second picture.
  4. Jürgen, thanks for your trouble and thanks for sharing. This a comprehensible tutorial about a really ingenious technique. Once someone had the right idea in retrospect everyting seems obvious. By the way the forum search for "Plastheniker" doesn't work very well. Is there any way to find a list of the topics you started in the past?
  5. Very clean work. You are one of the few modellers who are not afraid to show detail shots of their models.
  6. I never saw a model of the Ultraliner before, very interesting to see it for the very first time.
  7. As all Ertl truck or trailer kits this was a pleasure to build. Most of all assembling such a different model was a very interesting change for a car and truck modeler like me. The only shortcoming of the kit were really nasty seams in the recesses of the rear tires. Nevertheless it was a very nice kit. Hopefully there will be a reissue some day.
  8. Simon and Dave, thank you very much! Every comment is appreciated.
  9. Simply beautiful and exceptionally clean!
  10. Excellent work, looks good even in plain white.
  11. Jürgen, now it is clear what you didn't do, but h o w did you reshape the quarter round rod so precisely? Would you probably consider to share your technique? Certainly I am not the only one who would like to know it.
  12. Jürgen, I hope I am not too inquisitive, but I still ask myself how you made these absolutely uniform louvers. They look perfect. Did you use 3-dimensional louvers from transfer sheets? Those that I know are way too small. Or did you remove the louvers from a kit part? Then you would have been very lucky first to find the right louver size and then to remove them without damage. I asked some of my fellow modelers, but they hadn't any idea either .
  13. A real workhorse but nevertheless very attractive!
  14. Beautiful! Actually each of all these excellent models would deserve its own thread.
  15. But nevertheless looks perfect!
  16. Back at the workbench after all those lazy holidays I hope to spend more time modeling in 2016. Thanks again for all your compliments! When I was young an experienced modeler once told me that white/light blue, white/light grey and white/yellow looks good on any truck model. I think he was right.
  17. Perfect replica, super clean!
  18. I am very glad about the resonse for my model, thanks a lot! Especially the Ertl trailer was a pleasure to build. Hopefully there will be a Round 2 re-release. The front panel and the rear doors were chrome parts of the trailer kit.
  19. Even if not a static model another real masterpiece that I saw some years ago might be interesting here, too. It is a scratch built 1/13.6 scale R/C model with trailer. It is a faithful replica of the orange Tausendfüssler as seen in my previous post. Since it is even more impressive in motion here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJPdOvNfzX8
  20. My first big rig in this forum, built 10 or 15 years ago from kits that were even older. The tractor was sold as a Matchbox-AMT kit, the Great Dane Reefer Trailer was still a genuine Ertl product. Though my skills have hopefully improved in the meantime I think the result is not too poor to be shown. I hope you like it!
  21. Hallöchen Jürgen! I didn't expect to find a model of this iconic German truck in an American forum. I never saw your model in a German forum. It is breathtaking! In the past I saw several attempts to replicate the Tausendfüssler but none of them was up to the level of your model. To my knowledge these are the two more remaining original vehicles. They were meticulously restored by their private owners. I saw both vehicles in reality.
