  1. Thanks so much, all comments are appreciated! I have no idea. I built the kit strictly OOB. It is a wild mixture of Revell and Humbrol metallics, mainly copper, gold and grey.
  2. So many kits, so little time, this is my first finished model for about a year. Not much to say about this Italeri kit, it is almost perfect, even if the typical Italeri multi-piece cabs are nothing for beginners.
  3. Another masterpiece, the tanker looks immaculate! Good decision, the Lindberg tanker is junk. I am eager to see more, what can we expect next?
  4. I saw your model first maybe 10 years ago on the Wettringer Forum (when it was Europe's largest forum, now it is stonedead). This is still one of the most perfect truck models on the web!
  5. Very nice colour choice, the missing sleeper makes the model really interesting!
  6. Interesting model, I like the very cubic look!
  7. Nice work, the missing sleeper gives a very different look!
  8. In 1970 Mack introduced a very attractive stars and stripes paint scheme. Ertl's and later AMT's box artwork of their DM 800 kit always showed this peculiar paint scheme. All issues of the DM 800 had the the same decal sheet including a lot of white stripes in order to make replicating the stars and stripes paint scheme easier. When I built the kit about 20 years ago as one of my very first truck models I used only the decal stars because masking and painting the stripes turned out to be easier than applying the decal stripes
  9. I found these pictures of a beautiful HD 950 made by a Japanese modeler. As far as one can judge by the small pictures his model is nearly as perfect as yours.
  10. Beautiful model! I always tried to get one of these. Didn't they have even a metal chassis?
  11. Another stunner, especially your first picture could have been taken from a Ford sales brochure!
  12. Thanks for the compliments! Indeed, the Opel Blitz was the transport backbone of the Wehrmacht. Modern, sturdy and reliable it came in many variations (4x2, 4x4, half track „Maultier“, even as armoured rocket launcher) for many duties and in all theatres.
  13. Thank you for your replies, much appreciated! As already mentioned IMO one of the most recommendable Italeri truck kits.
