  1. Cutting the hood open would be a pretty straight forward operation. Working in the operating rear tailgate from the ANT '59 El Camino looks like a little more work.
  2. AMT '59 El Camino on the left. A little more than the "Basic" SMP on the right
  3. This thread is like a Ping Pong match. ?
  4. Often times going to the local car show, getting people to talk about lost buried barn finds is to drive something similar. It's uncanny how many people come up to you just to talk about the old car just like yours that's in their neighbors back yard.
  5. If only we could get a few more people to understand this. Thanks for posting Tom
  6. The AMT '59 El Camino is available and has all of the right stuff, hard to beat. Why mess with anything else ?
  7. although that one does look to have power windows
  8. The hood on the "60 could easily be cut out with the trusty #11 Exacto blade pulled backward untill it cuts through.
  9. Jump on line and have a look. Never hurts to see what we're talking about ?
  10. Yes, Mark, the indention for the spare tire, although only for the station wagon as the El Camino had theirs mounted behind the passenger seat.
  11. Watching the ATLANTIS site do it's magic is kind of like waiting for Christmas.?
  12. Early Monogram kits, albeit in 1/24th scale. Any reissues will work as well. good luck
  13. The chassis under the AMT '59 is quite accurate and nicely detailed. The chassis in the '60 El Camino is certainly a flat promo style.
  14. It seems like there is quite a bit of interest. ? Maybe the mantra, "if you're not interested, move on. " might apply here?
  15. Yes. I agree. No need to continually discuss anything we've talked about before. No one could possibly come up with any new information now could they? Anyone new to the board or anyone that hasn't seen any of the older threads locked away in the boards great search engine shouldn't concern themselves. After all we know better, now don't we.?
  16. Atlantis has a bunch from just about every manufacture. But who has the bulk of the major kit makers from the past ? AMT MPC Revell Monogram Johan
  17. No. It's not the same topic Mr. Reckner. Similar but not the same. This is about where they might be, Lost Hot Rods, I would expect something like this from casey.
  18. With the discovery of the Kookie car in such a weird state and the Roth Orbitron in Mexico i wonder how many other lost Icons of Hot Rod history are out there ?
  19. Just reposted, thanks
