  5. Several years back the new post office at 19th ave and Union hills was the envy of the Post Office, it had covered parking for all the employees. A few weeks later the word got out about the pigeons that roosted under the covered lot.
  6. The two groups not being the two clubs but two groups within these clubs that over the years have come to some animosity and have seen necessary to move their personal battle to the club meetings, shows and swap meets to the point where others not aware of these personal feelings have taken up sides pitting one show / swap meet against the other to the detriment of the hobby.
  7. We have two designated model car clubs in the greater Phoenix area not counting the IPMS clubs. The first and longest running club, the Moonlight Modelers has been going strong for more than thirty years. At some point another club, The Cactus Car Modelers was formed to accommodate those that couldn't meet on the Saturdays the MLM met. Now the rub, another individual has been successfully putting on a "Swap Meet" several times a year giving all a chance to sell and trade their wares. It seems as if there has been a falling out of these two groups and many in the two model clubs have been scheduling events against the "Postal Swap Meets'. This just seems to be so counter productive in a hobby where we can use every resource we can get. Kind of like the old " Cut off your nose to spite your face."
