  1. Shelby cuts out Fords flo through vents and adds windows allowing better rear vision. Ford designs new retro Mustang with Shelby style rear windows giving better rear vision. New buyers immediately go out and purchase cheesy fiberglass glue on fake side vents striving for that retro look.
  2. Their Special Release / Original Art ; Retro Delux line with added parts from the good ol days ie really neat. I wonder what will be coming our way next?
  3. I got into hot rodding in the early '60's. I had many friends with cars like this, well not nearly as nice, but the point being chrome work was expensive and your ride would be down for how long? So flashy paint was the answer, whether it was red or white, often times the under side of the fenders as well. One more "custom" touch was running without the hood, pure "Hot Rod", at least that's the way we saw it. Either way this build is "Bitchin'".
  4. Short little bits ,with pictures and an add for a 1/18th scale diecast deuce. It's a start, maybe more , bigger articles next time.
  5. Lots of model car stuff and a bunch of Model A's
  6. Ubiquitous. THE iconic automotive sticker / decal. Good for either 5 MPH or 5 HP.
  7. Being a custom, maybe they were removed ?
  8. Crossed three times, First 1953 SS Washington 1955 U.S.S. Pvt. Johnson with a young Norman Schwartzkopf on board. Last time 1957 SS America all first class. usually more than six days.
  9. That's what makes it work. Got blisters before I got mine to swivel.
  10. Saddly, my machinist friend moved his garage shop up north.
  11. Dan, thank you. Nice presentation. Nice photos. I'll just go out in my garage and fire up the lathe and run one off. Seriously, good idea, however , I don't think the machine work is in the realm of most board members.
  12. Saddly, you are correct, nothing in plastic if you want a '27. And your blue build is just a perfect period piece.
  13. Evidently Ford did. Learn something new here every day. http://palmeter.com/referenceford/
  14. Great idea Bill, having a ready go to stash just for them.
  15. You know there are Pre-Painted Car kits?
  16. Yep. All Fords. Same groupe.
  17. Slant Back no Hump. Same Groupe ? http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/41587-monogram-classic-crusier-37-ford-sedan/
  18. Why would you ask ? Do you not find this interesting ? Or humorous at best ?
  19. The Testors is a little more detailed and requires some multi media building skills, gluing and metal screws. It does build into a very nice model right out of the box.
  20. Notch Back Fast Back Slat Back Hatch Back Flat Back Slow Back
  21. Nothin' wrong with that on quite a few counts.
  22. Maybe he grew up in the fifties
