  1. How about something with a stock drive train? Maybe something really out there, a Fordor Sedan? Do we really need another Woodie ?
  2. There are others : http://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/visible-engines.htm
  3. First issue had the Halibrand Kidneybean mags. Later kits had five spoke Cragars.
  4. I'm mostly interested in the recent series of Deuces Revell has put out, the Twodor, '32 Three window, Five window and the roadster. What is your preference and why?
  5. Looking at another thread about building models while attending college (http://www.modelcars...showtopic=64288 ) got me to thinking. Tell us about your college years. I started out at a wonderful two year school in Thatcher Arizona in their Automotive Tech program. Eastern Arizona Junior College 1965-1967 gave me an AA degree in Automotive Technology. From there I was on to the great Arizona north country in Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University 1967-1969, earning my Bachelors degree in secondary education. And yes, I built models in the dorm.
  6. First two years of college (probably the best) I lost all interest in models, 1:1 cars and the female persuasion taking over. Going home for holidays I was able to work in some model time. Next two years, farther from home, we did build models ( for one thing, back in the day (late sixties) we didn't have computers)and I say we, as there were many of us living in the dorm that built models. Yeah, we were outlaws, painting in the stairwells and all.
  7. I remember reading about this "human perspective" in one of Gerald Wingrove's books many years ago.I have to believe getting the angle of a piece of side trim so radically off has to be the antitheses of this.

  9. "Is that Gregg with two G's ? " "Yes. One in the front, one in the back." "Greg"
  10. Six twin choke carbs on a Poncho V-8 with a chopped top. Maybe some flipper hub caps and a custom grill. No, make that a kustom grill.Stuff all this in a '36 Ford coupe. OK, you can include the roadster up top and other parts to go with it.
  11. I think you got the wrong Gregg
  12. Kinda like putting a picture in that little box. Kinda boring looking at all those ghostly figures.
  13. Sorry Skip this isn't about cars. However nothing shows how good a read can be like a revisit. I've read this one more than once.
  14. Sad but enlightening. Everything you'd want to know about this famous plane ( my Father in law was a bombardier, 35 missions over Germany)
  15. Try something in a diecast kit, quick and easy, or maybe just a prepainted kit, quick, easy, fun and looks good when you finish.
  16. This is fast becoming the most scrutinized 15 seconds in history since the Incident in Dallas back in the '60's. I have revisited these pages after each comment not seeingg evidence of said infractions. The front cover shot looks good to me. The picture inside the artical has what I think might be a reflection of a crack in the asphalt.Looking at the axel it shows up there as well. There is also a brown hue to many of the under side shots as well. More reflections? I think another look at the grassy knoll is also in order.
  17. Doesn't Stacey Davids Gerz do this from time to time: http://staceydavid.com/
